Is it wrong to have children?

Who are we to play God?

As a human being I don't believe we have any power of death nor life. Therefore I am against reproducing.

Especially artificial insemination make me go really mad. I mean come on, like you said we aren't God.

Against reproducing? Well I see a critical problem with this considering every species on earth must either replicate or reproduce in order to have its species survive. I do indeed believe that some day we can conquer life and death. I do know that there is a species of jellyfish that can practically live forever my changing itself back into a child when it reaches an old age. That gene is being studied. We can kill and bring death and we can reproduce and make life. Unless I misunderstood what you meant I currently disagree with the "against reproducing" belief.

I can actually see why it makes you mad. Although sometimes I think it is up to the female if she wants to undergo such a thing.

Children are necessary,

Amount is a different story. If you've ever seen the movie Idiocracy, then you know what I'm talking about. two children should be the max to any family that makes less then 100k a year(rough off-the-top-of-my-head number, don't shoot me for it)

Less children mean teachers a less strained. Win across the board

Perhaps you're forgetting that less children also means more teachers out of work.

true, but a pull in either direction will have various negative consequences.

I would rather have a few excellent teachers raising students to perfection than loads of "average" teachers just going to work.

and the money from the fired teachers would go to better places.

Imagine a world with less teachers and more scientists

It's not playing 'God' to reproduce. Animals seem to have no issue doing it, why should we? We're not exactly creating the life so much as taking advantage of what's already there, anyway.

Side: No

Frankenstein was made from things that were already there.

Frankenstein was born like any other human. If you are referring to his monster, however, the dead cannot truly come back to life. Fiction is a poor substitute for reality, however.

Reproduction is our natural purpose. It's what we are designed to do just like every other animal. As god commanded "be fruitful and multiply" it's not playing God its fulfilling our purpose to pass on our genes to the next generation.

We kind of have to have children in order to continue human life, so no, it's not wrong. However, it is wrong to have children and neglect or abuse them. If you're going to have children, then at least care for them.

Only if you have bad genes. .

That still doesn't mean it's wrong because there is only a 50/50 chance of passing on the faulty gene. Especially if its only one of the parents who have the faulty gene.

It is not worth the risk, and I would rather die than have kids. The tubes are getting tied.

No. It's ok to have children. I also do not think that we would play God for doing that. After all, He already gave us his blessing.

How is it wrong to have children. What is wrong with creating life. Without this, we would all not be here.
