Is nuclear war inevitable?

Given the time frame of "the future" and the ubequitous nature of the knowledge to make nukes, is proliferation and an eventual continuuation of use, inevitable?

MAD wasnt designed for many different states possessing nukes. It was a theory about 2.

Well I will put it this way, the US, Israel, India, China, and Russia can for sure nuke the planet single handedly. But I know for a fact that all of those countries have a 24/7 365 days a year surveillance of missile launches. And when one launches, and they cant identify it or it from another country that didn't confirm it, it is going down.

You left out the UK and France. Both have up to 3 times as many nukes as Israel and a blue water navy. Israel cant nuke the planet with 80 nukes. It could potentially take out every major capital or destroy one country. In a conventional context, Israel could obviously more than own the middle east, unless it got caught in a kamikaze situation. As for the nuclear 5, what they have above all is deployment. A blue water navy means nukes can be launched even if the nation is gone. This effectively makes you unbeatable. Its a doomsday button. Anyone stupid enough to launch an all out attack on France or the UK would never be able to find the location of the submarine fleet, in time before their own nation was vaporised. Furthermore, the fleet may be deep in the ocean, and are still fully capable of launching from there. Potentially, even America and Russia would effectively be stalemated by this.

As for America, she too has a blue water navy, and describes this as "The Defense Security Service of the United States has defined the blue-water navy as, "a maritime force capable of sustained operation across the deep waters of open oceans."

Russia, USA and China also arguably have land/air based deployment that can be relied upon for second strike capacity. France has the third biggest force on the planet and maintains a nuclear triad in theory and an air and sea force in practice.

Pakistan has more nukes than India.

Sadly, it is inevitable. It is a shame that humans will be the cause of the end of this world.
