Is operation "Euphrates shield" a fake?

Some while ago, Turkey and the so-called "Free Syrian Army" announced operation "Euphrates shield" in northern Syria. They were somehow able to conquer a large span of territory previously held by ISIS, during a short period of time. However, concerns have been raised that this so-called operation is a fake, and in reality Turkey is rescuing ISIS fighters. The terrorists surrender their positions, change their clothes and join the FSA. There have been numerous indications in favor of this version. The lates suspiscious military event is FSA's "attack" on ISIS positions which are strethced in a thin line, between FSA and Kurdish territory. In normal war, ISIS would have abandoned these positions long ago, because they are obviously indefensible. But the map shows something else:

The refferenced area is in the north between Kurdish positions (yellow) and FSA (dark green).

What's your take on the situation?

Additionally, it's strange that no reports have been coming, either of large ISIS casualties, or of ISIS prisoners being captured in large numbers.
