It is believing in something magical based on stories of ancient more primitive peoples. Absolutely just as believable.

Furthermore, since these gods are omnipotent, theoretically it is entirely possible that one god could create that which we refer to as another god. FSM could be in the family. He's like that uncle most people don't really want to come visit. Perhaps he even touches family members inappropriately? Hey, is that maybe how Mary actually got knocked up?

Satan is a god. And the fallen angels also are gods. And the fall of Adam and Eve were to be like God. So man wants also to be gods, like Lucifer did.

There likely was validity to their weird god stories. But God always took them down, and gave them into Israel's hands in defeat. Sometimes God used them to judge and discipline Israel also.

The question isn't are there gods, it is which in the end is the Only God. King, Lord, and Judge of all.

And we all get to decide who is our God or god.

God already wrote the ending. And He is not off on His appointed times.

He won't change for any, But He is there for all!

So how do you answer the unanswerable. Seems there are more questions than answers.

This is the point. Not how many cells match or divide, that is not my area of selected expertise or study.

But what about everything else? That's my entire point!

So my entire point is huge boulders and people want to just talk about pebbles

How do three Stone structures, that were impossible to build by average humans appear each across oceans from each other? Which are clearly set in ancient times, unable to be moved by humans, and mathematically more advance than the greatest math minds. You can connect them with string going across oceans. And all face the same direction. So, without computer or aviation how do you all answer these types of things by evolution?

My answer is from biblical history regarding the advances brought to mankind by fallen angels, who for a time seeded the population, and made mutations of currupted human seed as told in Genesis. Making unusual genetic mutations of giants. Of which science would rather hide, than have to rock the boat by answering. Israel has in some texts, that they were like grasshoppers before some of these nations of mutations.

So it wasn't gigantism.

Uh....again, I must ask: which god, exactly?

You'll have to be a bit more specific, since there are thousands of them. Maybe more. We have seen gods invented by mankind from all parts of the globe over the past several millennia.

And none of them are any more credible or believable than any others. That is to say, a god from Hinduism like Vishna or a god from Greek Mythology, like Zeus, has no more proof for it than that god from the Hebrew fables.

I think Yahweh, or Yah-Yah, or Elohim, or some such nonsense was his name. All I remember about him was that he was a really angry, petty, jealous, murderous douche of a god. Who has not been heard from since those Bronze Age times when he was committing ethnic cleansing.

So...again...I ask...which god?"

Thanks!

Also, the fact you refer to those zoo animals as my ancestors served as yet more confirmation that you, along with most Christians who deny Evolution, really do not even understand the most basic tenets of that theory. Being that Evolution never claimed we descended from apes.

There you go again with your straw man argument. You imply there are many gods, all equal, and none of them are God. Duhhhhh, wow man, how did you figure out that gods are not God? Saint, I am beginning to wonder if you truly understand the meaning of a Straw Man argument?

Because, it is certainly NOT a Straw Man when I claim there are, according to all the world's myriad religions and their respective holy books, thousands of gods.

And thus, since they all think they have the one true inside knowledge of true gods, they are all, on an objective, global scale, equal.

Hate top break it to you, but an Islamist or a Hindu or a Buddhist would tall you that YOU are the mistaken one, with your belief in your "one true god."

So....this claim of mine, about all those gods, is not a Straw Man statement.

Perhaps you can prove me wrong, here and now, and tell me exactly what you think constitutes a Straw Man arguement? Without Googling it.

I ask this because I cannot help but notice you egregiously over-use the term Straw Man when taking exception to other arguments. Seems like ANY argument that you do not agree with, you think is a Straw Man.

So, tell us: what is a Straw Man argument according to formal debate and rhetoric guidelines and parameters.

Thanks. I'll be awaiting. And then I will tell you my definition. that is, the TRUE one.

"Lucifer" as a name for Satan was based on a mis-translation in the Septuagint. The original author was referring to the King of Babylon as Lucifer, which means "light bearer." Therefore, it is not an accurate name for that Satan (Hasatan, btw, which only means "enemy") dude that your type spends so much time worrying about.

That's a straw man argument, Slappy, and I think you know it but probably won't admit it. It's funny watching the face of an atheist when they are playing this game, how they put on an innocent face and seriously expect you to believe they don't know who God is. They know full well God is who they are denying, but somehow they expect you to believe their nonsensical statements such as "I have no God belief", or "I have no god belief". A god is not God. Atheists have to create straw men to argue against when they pretend to explain why they believe God cannot be God. Thousands of gods which are not God are not god. The gods you insist are not God, indeed are not God but rather are your own consciously created straw men, things which do not exist outside of your imagination. God is there and cannot be contained or limited by your imagination if you acknowledge Him or not. You won't acknowledge Him, you will only acknowledge your own consciously created straw men which are not God, and go on and on and on with silly "proofs" that your straw men are not God.

Your straw men can be contained and limited by your imagination, so they cannot be God. One of the characteristics of God is that He cannot be limited by anybody other than Himself. He limits you, you do not limit Him. He'll knock you out before you knock Him out, Slappy. Your fighting a losing battle, losing everything good, losing your soul to sin and it's taking you into the fire of Hell. The Saviour, God, Jesus, took your place to save you from it, but you are strong, you are brave, you are proud.....any fool can be strong, brave, and proud. It's rare, but I have seen atheists who came to their senses, repented of their sin and believed on the Lord Jesus Christ in His resurrection and received Him as their Savior and were born of the Spirit of God for eternal life. You probably never will believe, you probably never will be saved, and you sure won't have any excuse.

God knew ahead about the fall of mankind.

Could He have prevented it? No, not with free will in place.

God gave man a choice, children are not slaves. Slaves are bound without choice, children are bound by choice, choosing the way of the Father by heart, soul, and mind.

My questions; If God did know of this fall ahead, then wouldn't He be looking at what already occured from an Omnipresent prespective seeing from the end of events and life of our days, after they had already occurred?

So then, If God “could have,” should He have changed “the fall” and prevented it? Thereby removing the work of a just judgement, mans sentencing, and curse of dust taken from the ground?

If God already knewn man's fall would occur, and if mankind's outcome was pre-known, then wouldn't God have to be a liar and a cheater to deny rightful judgements of His laws, and be unjust in retribution to Satan, who's final judgement is not and cannot be altered?

If God is a just judge. Wouldn't His attribute of just judgement then cause God Himself to fall under His own condemnation also?

What if God back peddled, and didn't let the sentencing of the guilty parties stick? What if God denied justice, and denied retribution of the blood lust of Satan?

Wouldn’t God have to cheat and dishonor Himself, thereby making Him unrighteous, and then not a just judge? Making God who judges fairly, unfair by His own standard of righteousness?

Wouldn't that then also be a legal precedence for then Satan to become God, enabling evil Satan to then Judge Holy God?

Wouldn't Satan then have been able to claim under law God Himself along with His children placing him above the law and God then under the law?

This is what God did do for us in response to what He foreknew. He knew from looking back in time from the end what would happen, and God altered our possibilities and our potential for the future of our eternal souls, and eventually also our bodies, by weaving in with judgement, His Salvation, which He promised Eve from the beginning at judgement of the fall.

By looking back at our pre-known history, God placed prophetic fulfillments of Salvation, written and demonstrated, with instructions, and His own blood, sweat, and tears. Promised and fulfilled from the beginning to the end, in order to accomplish the best for those who rise out of the dust with Jesus, and are privileged by grace to along with the Only Begotton Son, we can also call Him Father.

To His Children, His Sheep, Jesus calls out the One Way, the One Truth, and The Eternal Life.

He showed the way personally, making our road where there was no road. He showed us the way.

All who love Him, and desire eternal life must first pick up their cross and follow Him all the way through the narrow road, to the narrow gate, an unpopular road.

The one and only way to escape the cursed dust of the ground is through the work of the Messiah, His walk in humanity overcoming our flesh, His cross destroying it's grip, and His Resurrection making us new creations.

He redeemed us as Satan watched the power of God smash his little serpent mind, wounding his head!

Jesus’ work in the world was to save man from the judgement of death, for all under the law, are judged by the whole law, since we all break God’s law, we all were hopelessly condemned.

Dust of the ground was placed under the prosecutor and jailor's belly, the serpent. On the ground on his belly, eating dust of the ground all of his days.

The dust gave Satan claim to us. Returning to dust due to the fall out of eternity of life in the garden by default with Satan, put the curse of sin at work against us.

Judgement and condemnation passed on that day, making dust bound to the the belly of the serpent, who lays on the ground imprisoning the dust below him.

Appetites, the serpents and ours, to be forever enslaved by dust which is currupted flesh. We see this clearly through addictions of every kind, from cookies and gluttony to gambling and heroine to cheating, sexual impulses that ruin our lives and our families, to every destructive impulse we each wrestle, or give in to and accept.

We are born already under retribution of a death sentence from the fall in Genesis 3. “To dust mankind shall return.”

We spend our lives toiling against ourselves, our flesh working against us and our "willpower"

We are always declining, fighting with the ourselves, our desire to do good, aging, our flesh seems to pull us down. Wanting to do good, yet we do evil, doing good is soooo hard!

We were made from the dust of the ground, whether or not you think through evolution and Intelligent design, or a creation day each twenty-four hour days, the dust from the ground still built man, either evolving or in One Day.

The image of God in the Garden was a given, but after the fall, it is now a choice. And the knowledge of the workings of evil within us took the choice of being like God, to being gods like Lucifer, who is the fallen Bright Morning Star.

God made man from the dust outside the Garden, He then went from him and and planted a special Garden for man.

Genesis says, God made man from the dust, then went toward the East, prepared and planted a Garden, then He placed man into it.

A few thoughts I have on my confirmation shelf, that I have not yet confirmed as doctrine. But I see enough in scripture to think the following origination of Satan and Sheol is accurate.

What if our free will came from the dust of the ground which God used to make us?

Star-dust from this bright fallen angel, possibly imploding of the “Bright Morning Star, Lucifer?” Making a Blackhole to be Sheol?

What if space as we know it is really God suspending our whole universe, holding it in orbit from descending down within the blackhole made by Lucifer's fall?

What if space as we know it is really God suspending our whole universe, holding it in orbit from descending down within the blackhole made by Lucifer's fall?

Science currently has modern knowledge, and has decided physics is now changing adjusting from some previous rules of physics, with ideas and studies of our known universe and space is curiously expanding. Like the Bible says, He stretches the Heavens like a tent. Hmm God stretches whet we know as space.

Possibly, maybe to swallow our world whole in the day of final judgement?

What if the growth of man's evil and violene we see in epidemic proportions today, is a gravitational depravity pulling this world down into the Blackhole Sheol? Man bound unable to escape iron bars and chains in these last days, and sealing man's final condemnation. Mankind choosing dust as their god, the image of fathers as devils, and of Satan, the father of deceptions, murders and lies?

Sheol a Blackhole, a gravitational pull timing mankind's fate to Satan fate, our condemned dust falling with him into the deep? Evil follows us, it’s sealing shut the death sentence, living a life against God, born of flesh under judgement, with dust already sentenced, to this downward spiral of by it’s gravitational pull?

God is letting this world pass away, this heaven and earth will pass away, as it go deeper and deeper into Satan's locked pit, blackhole, Sheol.

The Christian message is this, He also made a way for us a way of escape. Take it and live, or don't! Free will, if you don't look up your choice is made!

There is One Way, Only One! Through the work of Jesus.

He hung the dust with it’s judgement upon a tree, them He rose out of the dust. In this way He took our sentencing, and released us from under the serpents belly, making a way, for all who answer His call to be born again, into the image of God, once and for all!

What if the curse in Genesis, dust to return to dust was the deal that Lucifer made in challenge against God, and against mankind, His plan of children through creation?

The law enforcing retribution, returning man's dust back to the ground, fate of law for the mankind God created in the event that he rebels?

Think about Lucifer’s claims, “I will ascend above God, I will be god!” Man fell by the same temptation he fell by, so if he didn't spare Satan, will he spare mankind who take Satan's image?

Is eternal life an inheritance for God's children? Or should God give what is Holy and Good to mankind who bear the image of His enemy, and who live by choice in Satan's image? Should Satans willing slaves tied to his will, his own dark seed with his disfunctional image, those who love his dark deeds who bow their will, those who by free will have taken his currupted image, his slave children.

Those made in the likeness of Satan and of beasts, who no longer resemble even mankind anymore, should they inherit God's Goodness with God's children?

Satan by his nature is a cheater, deciever. He is proud and arrogant, a murderer, he is darkness. By his nature he cheated with temptation of Eve, to assure to himself his gain a deadly win.

God knew all, and He already had His plan in place. So Satan was dumbfounded far behind the mysteries, wisdom, and knowledge of the Most High God.

Satan is cursed in every form of the flesh he takes. Every sin and darkness is his seed that he breeds. It’s currupt design, it is his appetite, the serpent eating dust all his days.

The fall of man from order of the Creator, from the first moment when God said “Let there be Light.” He brought light to a world sitting in complete darkness, formless, and void, now is returning in in the end back to how He found it, depravity, declining, degrading, falling into the gravity of depravity, into disorder, darkness, and chaos.

The final end from the fall of mankind. Where mankind went from freedom to slavery, from true knowledge and understanding to a serpent’s deceptions which he calls knowledge but isn't.

He puffs himself up, and man puffs up himself too, monkey see and monkey do!

God scoffs back and lets them, at the fools of mankind who ignore His gift of Redemption. Well then in the end the insatiable hunger of Satan and Sheol swallow them all whole!

Mankind has a long 6000 years, ready for God and His children to entet His 7th Day of rest. We all wrestled the good fight, most just gave in. But we all wrestled against ourselves every bit of our days. “Yielding thorns and thistles,” bringing forth good with much difficulty. Always the tale, always striving in weakness fighting from under not over.

In procrastination, blame shifting, addictions, laziness, foolishness, hate, violence, and lies we fight against what we don't have for wants, and what we achieve we don't want, everything we want we shouldn't have, everything good we should want to have, isn’t tasty enough, more sugar, more salt, heart failure stress, greed, gain, we never want good. Hmm why?

We think we are intelligent, but in the end, we are just fools.

.

Matthew 11

28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

.

Luke 9

23 And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

.

Satan is twice cursed. He was judged already from his own fall. Jesus describes the fall as He “watched Satan fall like lightening.”

Satan is double cursed as the fallen angels, and the beast. Cursed with an insatiable appetite, God gave him over to his hearts desire to, to be serpent, on his belly to crawl, never satisfied, always starving, isn't that the way of flesh to?

Satan and his angels are already sealed in their judgement. An eternal death sentence, inside a burning black pit called Sheol, not made for man.

A place made for Satan, the fallen Bright Star, and his following angels, who chose to be devils over serving God and His precious children, mankind made in His image, upright and true.

Instead mankind is in service to Satan's bidding. In harsh servitude, tricked into slavery, slavery sold as freedom.

But in the end of it all, was it really that good?

We see in front of us today the very end of the works of all flesh, has it been gentle and pleasant?

Each of mankind must choose with difficulty working to look against a pull that is difficult to turn away from, its hold is firm and gripping, it's ropes tighten it’s hold.

Also given over to a beastly appetite, like father like children, mankind in the serpent’s defiled image, never satisfied, choking on their own flesh biting and devouring themselves and each other all the day long.

As God pulls back His grip, His safety net, His mercy hold. While Sheol's blackhole of gravity and depravity consume all of mankind marked 666, all those not marked for Salvation, those not sealed within His loves sacrafice. No written covenant of exchange to ransom them all, their debt of retribution they pay themselves, rejecting ransom by His gift paid in full.

His children of Promise He seals without measure with His Holy Spirit of Promise, renewing of our minds. We see with eyes, the damned do not see. God blinds them like the devil, because their hearts He sees!

The children of God, are eternal, their minds that big too, able to reason like their Father, in dimensions far beyond the closing shut minds of the trapped, the damned. Those whose minds have become just like minds of animals and beasts. Ruled only by desires, impulses, and instincts. Depravity!

The cursed of mankind hunched over with bent spines, just like their father, as if their ancestors are just monkeys. Just like their father a beast they become. Children? No, not even pets, just wild animals, prey and predator, dog eat dog, fighting till death, they are dogs tearing down to their bones.

Not as their counter, their opposite in mankind, thos in mankind who walk upright within God and God within them, breaking the grip, they remain free against the pull of destruction, of Sheol below. Those whose God is their Father, in His image made, whose foreheads bear His Seal! Marked for redemption, renewed everyday by His Spirit, with the minds set on God, He gives us the mind of our Lord Jesus Christ.

There are two marks and two images. A free choice from the beginning of the living.

Choose the mark of the Savior, whose blood placed on our foreheads like the doors of Israel in Egypt, His mark shows the reapers, we are sealed under His protection and we differ from the seal of those branded for judgement.

He is our Ark, hidden in Him, the rest are taken away by the flood of deceptions let loose in this day!

Final judgement is coming upon us, condeming the children of the beast along with their unreasoning animal minds, their cursed flesh bodies, and their eternally damned souls.

While Saving God’s children making us brand new creations, Born Again in His likeness, as He renews our minds, bodies, and our eternal souls.

A Hidden Message:

The Gospel in Genesis

by Chuck Missler

Meanings Of The Names In Genesis 5

This can be glimpsed in Genesis Chapter 5, where we have the genealogy of Adam through Noah. This is one of those chapters which we often tend to skim over quickly as we pass through Genesis it's simply a genealogy from Adam to Noah.

But God always rewards the diligent student. Let's examine this chapter more closely.

In our Bible, we read the Hebrew names. What do these names mean in English?

A Study of Original Roots

The meaning of proper names can be a difficult pursuit since a direct translation is often not readily available. Even a conventional Hebrew lexicon can prove disappointing. A study of the original roots, however, can yield some fascinating insights.

(A caveat: many study aids, such as a conventional lexicon, can prove rather superficial when dealing with proper nouns. Furthermore, views concerning the meanings of original roots are not free of controversy and variant readings.)

Let's take an example.

The Flood Judgment

Methuselah comes from muth, a root that means "death";1 and from shalach, which means to bring, or to send forth. The name Methuselah means, "his death shall bring".2

Methuselah's father was given a prophecy of the coming Great Flood, and was apparently told that as long as his son was alive, the judgment of the flood would be withheld; but as soon as he died, the flood would be brought or sent forth.

(Can you imagine raising a kid like that? Every time the boy caught a cold, the entire neighborhood must have panicked!)

And, indeed, the year that Methuselah died, the flood came.3

It is interesting that Methuselah's life, in effect, was a symbol of God's mercy in forestalling the coming judgment of the flood.

Therefore, it is fitting that his lifetime is the oldest in the Bible, speaking of the extensiveness of God's mercy.

The Other Names

If there is such significance in Methuselah's name, let's examine the other names to see what may lie behind them.

Adam's name means man. As the first man, that seems straight forward enough.

Seth

Adam's son was named Seth, which means appointed. Eve said, "For God hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew."4

Enosh

Seth's son was called Enosh, which means mortal, frail, or miserable. It is from the root anash, to be incurable, used of a wound, grief, woe, sickness, or wickedness.

It was in the days of Enosh that men began to defile the name of the Living God.5

Kenan

Enosh's son was named Kenan, which can mean sorrow, dirge, or elegy. (The precise denotation is somewhat elusive; some study aids unfortunately presume that Kenan is synonymous with Cainan.)

Balaam, looking down from the heights of Moab, uses a pun upon the name of the Kenites when he prophesies their destruction.6

We have no real idea as to why these names were chosen for their children. Often they may have referred to circumstances at birth, and so on.

Mahalalel

Kenan's son was Mahalalel, from Mahalal which means blessed or praise; and El, the name for God. Thus, Mahalalel means the Blessed God. Often Hebrew names include El, the name of God, as Dan-i-el, "God is my Judge", etc.

Jared

Mahalalel's son was named Jared, from the verb yaradh, meaning shall come down.7

Enoch

Jared's son was named Enoch, which means teaching, or commencement. He was the first of four generations of preachers. In fact, the earliest recorded prophecy was by Enoch, which amazingly enough deals with the Second Coming of Christ (although it is quoted in the Book of Jude in the New Testament):

Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, "Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against."

Jude 14, 15

Methuselah

Enoch was the father of Methuselah, who we have already mentioned. Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah.8 Apparently, Enoch received the prophecy of the Great Flood, and was told that as long as his son was alive, the judgment of the flood would be withheld. The year that Methuselah died, the flood came.

Enoch, of course, never died: he was translated 9 (or, if you'll excuse the expression, raptured ). That's how Methuselah can be the oldest man in the Bible, yet he died before his father!

Lamech

Methuselah's son was named Lamech, a root still evident today in our own English word, lament or lamentation. Lamech suggests despairing.

(This name is also linked to the Lamech in Cain's line who inadvertently killed his son Tubal-Cain in a hunting incident.10)

Noah

Lamech, of course, is the father of Noah, which is derived from nacham, to bring relief or comfort, as Lamech himself explains in Genesis 5:29.

The Composite List

Now let's put it all together:

Hebrew English

Adam - Man

Seth - Appointed

Enosh - Mortal

Kenan - Sorrow;

Mahalalel - The Blessed God

Jared - Shall come down

Enoch - Teaching

Methuselah - His death shall bring

Lamech - The Despairing

Noah - Rest, or comfort

That's rather remarkable:

Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.

Here's the Gospel hidden within a genealogy in Genesis!

(You will never convince me that a group of Jewish rabbis conspired to hide the Christian Gospel right here in a genealogy within their venerated Torah!)

You can continue talking stupid and insulting Christians and Muslims as most of them do not whine to authority figures about being harassed by people with hateful opposing views. You might want to whine after you read this. You won't be the first. Why atheists expect that they should be allowed to be rude and nasty and never answered firmly can only be explained by things like bad parenting.

The author did refer specifically to God. There can be only one God who created all things, and some of those things can be called gods but only God is God.

God in Islam is Allah, it is not God though they call it God. It is the moon god, Allah, of ancient tribal Arabia adopted by Mohammed in his travels as a desert pirate robbing caravans and building his band of thieves, rapists, and murderers before they attacked and conquered Mecca from which Mohammed had earlier been ran out of, using their god, Allah, calling it God whose name is Allah, as a litmus test by which to force subservience of subjugated people.

The only mythological equivalence coming out of you is pretending your mouth is equal to intelligence when you talk about things you do not know or understand. Now you might want to start whining.

This is cool. Messages from God in name translations in the Bible genealogies. When you translate each name and put them together in their order given they each have a message.

It's unusual and not likely intentional by Jewish Rabbis to weave this into their scriptures, because they didn't view the full intent of Jesus' mission and purpose. Yet in the Old Testament His intent was clear, even hidden within these lengthly genealogies we used to breeze over. But now know every letter and space has a purpose. If you only knew!

Now that God is unsealing the book more than in previous times, especially in these last days, more and more is being seen. As churches go dark, the faithful shine bright!

God gives revelation and understanding to those who are His own children! Jesus called it the children's bread.

So while there is a famine for His Word, as churches fall, and there is a drought were His Holy Spirit is not raining in the congregations, as darkness grips the world and marks them for condemnation with the image and mark of the beast, His children will in a twinkling shine bright as the sun, and as He reveals Himself like never before, many will see Him as He is, and turn to Him.
