I prefer the New King James Version, but there are other translations, and that this versus that is highly subjective.

The issue is not Christian liberty (what is "Christian liberty" anyways?) The issue is right vs. wrong. Right vs wrong is not open to personal preference.

Gen. 3:4-5 KJV: "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye

shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods knowing good and evil."

NKJV: "Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God knowing good and evil."

COMMENT: This is major blasphemy! God (with a big G) is not evil! Think about the difference.

Matt 20:20 KJV: "Then came to him the mother of

Zebedee's children with her sons, WORSHIPPING him ..."

NKJV: "Then the mother of Zebedee's sons came to Him with her sons, kneeling down ..."

COMMENT: Kneeling down is not even close to 'worship'.

John 1:3 KJV: "All things were made BY Him ..."

NKJV: "All things were made through Him ..."

Acts 4:13 KJV: "Now when they saw the boldness of Peter

and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and IGNORANT men.."

NKJV: "Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men..."

COMMENT: Peter and John had been with Jesus for some time. They WERE NOT untrained. Jesus HAD trained them.

They were, however, ignorant.

Gal. 2:20 KJV: "I AM crucified with Christ ..."

NKJV: "I have been crucified with Christ ..."

COMMENT:The NKJV is saying their crucifixion is over!

Not true. The believers crucifixion is an ongoing, PRESENT TENSE, transaction.

Philip 3:8 KJV: "DUNG"

1 Tim 6:10 KJV: "For the love of money is THE root of all evil ..."

NKJV: "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil ..."

2 Tim 2:15 KJV: "STUDY to shew thyself approved unto God ..."

Gen. 2:7 KJV: "... and man became a living SOUL."

NKJV: "... and man became a living being."

Comment: A MAJOR difference between man and beast is that man is the ONLY creature with a soul. New versions miss this point.

So my faith is less than yours? How Christian of you......................................................................

Your faith does not give you "Christian liberty" to interpret the word of God any way you see fit as do hundreds of modern varying fraudulent translations of the Bible.

Stick to the topic of your debate please. I have presented many examples and explanations of why modern versions are not the word of God. If you really are a Christian with faith the same as mine, you should care that God's word is not changed and is reliable without error. God cares about keeping His word and He does not allow people to change it. If they claim to have a different "translation", they are committing fraud in God's sight and it is easy to see the proofs of modern versions being imposters when they claim to be "Bibles".
