Laws are merely heavily enforced rules that originated in another humans head, same-sex marriage being illegal isn't fair, and yet it is a law.

Obviously not. If the law was perfectly fair, the world wouldn't be in as much turmoil as it is. Criminals slip through, innocent people are prosecuted. Just because you've grown up with mostly all the same laws, they were still made by human beings all with different ideas.

They aren't exactly designed to be fair they have more of an air of justice.

I mean you can't really treat a criminal that killed 20 people fair by only killing him once.
