Is the news a bunch of bs
Whenever I watch the news I feel as though I have been misinformed and after doing research I tend to find my self on the side that the news was against . I'm starting to think that that news leaves out facts and exaggerates things . Maybe I'm the only one but I'm curious as to what others think of the news .

For my case I would like to name several examples of media leaving out facts . First , the Michael Brown shooting . The media was saying the cop was racist and that the police is full of law abusing white males . After doing research I found a very recent case where a black officer killed a white teen in an almost exact way that Michael Brown was killed . No big media station covered this . Which left me wondering , " why ? ." Second , the Sandy Hook shooting . The media blamed videogames for this disgusting waste of human lives and implied videogames would lead to more of our kids becoming mass murders . A fact they left out was that as violent video game sales increase , juvenile violence decrease . Another vital part they left out is that millions of COD games are sold per year , and that's just COD alone . Throw in halo , gta , battlefield , titan fall , and.other fps games and you have billions of games . If there was a connection wouldn't we have a lot more school shootings ? It's obvious they left this out because it would make it seem as though it was the individuals fault , that doesn't stir up controversy . Blaming something that millions support and millions don't understand , now that's controversial . Side: Yes
Here's WHY the news is bs Thirty four years ago Ted Turner started CNN. His aim was to begin a successful business and present the news with greater depth and analysis. The 24 hour news was born. Ted got his successful business and the 24 news time was filled with endless analysis and opinion. The "business" required ratings to survive. The bigger the story could become, the higher ratings could climb, the greater the advertising revenue could increase. Simple business became the driver behind the news. This was only the harbinger of things to come. Powerful political and ideological interests quickly saw the potential for manipulation of public opinion. This was when the music died. Today we are beset by competing ideologies pumping endless propaganda. All semblance of unbiased national reporting has died. Side: Yes

This is one of the best documentaries about this subject on how the mass media is used as a political tool to control the public mind. It follows the work of an MIT professor who goes through all of the history, theory, etc, . . MANUFACTURING CONSENT: THE POLITICAL ECONOMY OF THE MASS MEDIA

I will always stand by my claim that the news (particularly the shitrags known as tabloids, or Gawker) are the the cancer of society. Aside from being sensationalizing -baiters, who would (and already have) ruin lives of innocents for more ratings, they're hypocritical self-righteous crapholes were misinformation and childish gossip takes priority. But hey, it's what the people want, right? Side: Yes
This is a news angle that most in the US have been unaware of up until now. The US media is reporting this in order to start a dialog in which they can begin telling us how alienated and isolated these poor Muslims are in their no-go zones. Their plight with massive unemployment and severely limited mainstream opportunity. As Hillary said "They need our empathy and understanding". Now there is some BS Side: Yes
