The only reason for people to want to believe in a young earth is if they already have religious inclinations to want that to be true. In that sense it isn't really even a theory, it's just a counter story used to oppose older geological evidence and evolutionists. Side: Pure fiction.

There really isn't any viable evidence of a young earth theory. In fact it's the exact opposite. The only reason to really support such a belief is to support reading religious scripture in the literal sense, casting out all scientific evidence to the contrary. Side: Pure fiction.
