Language Police on "College Campie" deem the word "Homosexual" offensive now
Additionally, Emerson declares, you should use the phrase “person with a disability” instead of the totally different “disabled person.”

Don't you just love the Left's total hypocrisy? These hideous fools sit there spewing such pious outrage over someone saying a "disabled person" while they themselves support killing viable special needs babies weeks before birth. We've all heard of the special olympics. Those special needs children competing on the track are the very children that these Progressive Democrats support killing in the womb weeks from birth. These are the inhuman monsters who are going to lecture us the political correct way to speak. This is why they're ranked number one for LGBT friendliness. http://www.emerson.edu/videos/ And you won't understand that, because you're a conservative troll, but you do understand (maybe) businesses earning their buck. So tell me, Einstein, how much would a college devoted to all manners of communication (theatre, mass communications, etc) draw its clients from the LGBT pool, hmm? It's good business for them. And hey, since you hate those people then why aren't you pinning a medal on that school for being a draw so they aren't scattered around to yours and others? I don't think it is necessary for an institution devoted communication to limit its students communication in order to attract gay people. If an institution of higher education is publicly funded, I should think that Constitutional Rights that are upheld in the public, should be upheld there as well. The left used to think so. Even if you dislike the debate creator, perhaps you can agree that the issue of language on campus is becoming more important (even if not in this specific case). I would argue that speech suppression is an epidemic. 1

you should use the phrase “person with a disability” instead of the totally different “disabled person.” I can support that. The rest is probably just about some new connotations to the words. But it's strange, because I haven't heard about anything in regards to such a major transition in the meaning of the word 'homosexual' that it's now a hate word - that's incredible, in fact. I think you can look it up on Campus Reform website as well but don't quote me on that. 1

Not really - words can rather quickly change their meaning. The semantics of "disabled person" are obvious, but anything else there is strange - especially the 'homosexual' part. Also, incredible, in Indian English, rarely means anything other than extraordinary. Gay and lesbian, for referring to sexuality, are considered rather awkward terms here. Not to mention that they are just subcategories. Also, tabooing words like that is one of the worst offences against language. Especially when instead of another word, it is asking people to use subcategories. It's something I wouldn't give much thought to dismissing a great part of. 1
