Leftist author tells us Vietnam vets were not disrespected when they came home
"The Spitting Image: Myth, Memory and the Legacy of Vietnam (1998) is a book by Vietnam veteran and Sociology professor Jerry Lembcke. The book is an analysis of the widely believed, but historically inaccurate, urban legend that American soldiers were spat upon and insulted by antiwar protesters upon returning home from the Vietnam War."

This is probably true. There are nuts on BOTH sides and "some very good people on both sides", (in THIS case). Just because a nut on the left makes a stupid statement (that the large majority of "lefties" don't agree with), doesn't mean WE are as polluted as the right. I just thought I'd get defensive against this stupidity. 'Nuff said. Side: True
