Legalizing
Okay, so I want marijuana to be legal because it's healthier than smoking tobacco. I've been around marijuana all my life and i've smoked numerous times and I've never had a health issue because of it. Most people in my fanily have smoked marijuana since they were my age and younger and they don't have any health problems because of it either. Marijuana is not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I would just like to know your opinion on why it should or why shoudln't it be legalized.

I completely agree with you... it's not as harmful as alcohol or tobacco (simply because one doesn't consume as much pot as they do tobacco). But, it sounds like you are saying it isn't harmful at all... that simply isn't true. Any smoke in the lungs is harmful. My mom is in her 60s and has been smoking cigarettes since she was 14... she hasn't had any problems so far but that doesn't mean she won't and doesn't mean cigarettes aren't harmful. 1

Is it better then smoking tobacco? Maybe. Is it equally as harmful? Yes. It gets you high. High people are dangerous. Small medical doses are often not enough for people. Tobacco is addicting, but it's immediate effects are much more desirable. I'd much rather have a tobacco smoker driving. But in all honesty neither options should be available to the public. But money talks i guess. Side: No

Not all high people are dangerous. And really every one person is dangerous, not just people who get high. I agree. I'd rather have a tobacco smoker driving, but then again what about alcohol? It has some of the same effects and yet thats perfectly fine (well not driving). I say we could do with marijuana that we do with alcohol. There would be certain restrictions just like acohol. Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's better for you. It may never give you health problems but M.j. usually messes with your brain. Like, forgetting stuf, or talking issues, or DEPRESSION (which I think you know what i'm getting at... :/) which means the smoking it is not any better for you than smoking tabacco. Side: No

I understand what you're saying. I think its physically better for you. That's what I meant. Smoking marijuana may not be the best if you've had issues with depression already, but it doesn't really make you depressed while you are doing it. (are you getting at me...?) Side: No
It might not be as be as harmful as the others.. But, there is a fair chance that this could lead to further worse addictions! Bad habits are not likely to be encouraged! It has been kind of good so far! Though if people like yourself can gain a self control it is not an objection.. But legalizing is Risking! Side: No

It is risking, most people see marijuana as a gateway drug. I personally don't. I've smoked pot for a while and I've never went to anything worse. I did worse before I started smoking pot. I don't find marijuana addicting either. A lot of people get addicted to the feeling it gives you not the drug itself. Side: No
