Liberals and conservatives hate each other. It wasn’t always that way. How do we fix it?

The war between Liberals and Conservatives started when Liberals declared war on our Christian heritage in this nation.

When these arrogant leftists started telling every community to ban any symbol of religious expression on holidays, it was the begiining of the war. They were so arrogant, they would not even allow the free choice of each community to decide as their voters decided.

CENSOR IT! TEAR IT DOWN FROM ANY PUBLIC LAND! WE ARE THE HUMANIST THOUGHT POLICE AND WILL NOT STAND FOR ANY RELGIOUS EXPRESSION ON PUBLIC LAND!!!!!!!

Then the war continued with the extreme radical Pro abortion policies of Liberals. NO RESTRICTION ABORTIONS ARE NOW LEGAL IN THIS NATION! Conservatives believe in our right to life!

Then the war continued with Gay marriage. Liberals forced EVERY SINGLE STATE to deny the voice of their people, and make Gay marriage legal.

These are the main reasons for the war between Liberals and Conservatives. Liberals believe in Big Goverment control of the people, and Conservatives believe in freedom from the big handed mandates from Government.

Liberals became radical political extremists.

Honestly, I am unconvinced that liberals and conservatives actually hate each other.

Sure, some do, but they are mostly TV/Radio personalities, and it is hard to tell if they are just playing roles.

I truly think that the people who soak up too much media get a misleading impression of how much animosity is out there, whether political or racial or whatever.

I never really see it in person.

Hell, I don't even see it on this site (once the trolls who are rude to EVERYBODY are accounted for.) I am pretty conservative, but I consider some of you liberals who argue with me to be "friends" (in the internet stranger sort of way) and I do not get the impression that you folks hate me.

Do you think I need to adjust the tint on my monitor because it is unrealistically rosy?

I agree that most Americans do not live in this world of divisive rhetoric pitting one group against the next.

That would be the Liberal media pushing this hatefult divisive rhetoric, constantly telling people they are victims, etc. etc.

Our media makes people think that the majority of Americans think this way. That is not the case.

If you talk to a lib about anything and say the truth, they'll call you a bigot or a racist, all dialogue ends, and the right begins ignoring everything the left says assuming it's all lies, fake emotional outbursts, or just flat out propaganda.

When Democrats decided the end game was Communism, we were morally obligated to stand against them. The forefathers agree. Older liberals don't grasp that there is no liberal party anymore. ANTIFA and BLM are not liberal by traditional definitions. They are Despotic.

The radical left is, in my opinion, responsible for this. Simultaneously portraying conservatives as Nazis while calling for violence against Nazis was bound to cause intergroup friction and violence. Nobody takes the far right seriously, everybody sees that they are a tiny group of authoritarian racists. The far left, however, appears to have a decent base of support and the same goal: authoritarian racial collectivism.

Actually, it won't get fixed UNTIL that "Citizens United" thingy is overturned, until Gerrymandering is corralled, until the Christian Coalition accepts the Constitution as the "Law of the Land", Lobbying is at least regulated (it's out of control), and the color, nationality or religion of a person is meaningless ... as the Constitution says, the top 1% reads the book: "The Wealth of Nations" by Adam Smith (1776) and decides THAT would make America great ... again. The conservatives learn that America is SUPPOSED to be a majority rule country and begins to look at what the majority wishes (not just the conservative majority), and, if they want to live by the Bible, a little charity would be nice, for those Americans who need a hand up!

We need a constitutional amendment that would kill Citizens United. Because Citizens United says that corporations are people and money is speech, the amendment would have to clearly state that a person is a natural born organic human being with a limited lifespan and it would define speech as being other than money such as the spoken word, art, film ect. (in other words, REALITY)

This has to be done, if it isn't we're screwed. Also, robots are on the way and we don't want machines voting (or at least sane people don't).

The next thing that must be done is to completely remove the poison from politics and the poison is MONEY. Campaigns must be taxpayer funded to stop corporations from buying our politicians. Lobbying was never intended to become the legalized bribery we have now and it must be stopped.

You seem to have forgotten all that union money that goes to buying our politicians, particularly Democrats.

Side: Talk to each other

Absolutely! As I said once before, I won't accept corporations as people until Texas executes one!

And for the statement by foratag, I agree. ALL the big money should be removed from elections and lobbying. That would leave the conservatives with little to say about "unions". The MAJORITY of Americans should have a "bigly" say in just WHAT gets passed, NOT lobbyists. With todays technology it can be done. If the founding fathers had todays tech, they would have made America a Democracy instead of a Republic, IMO.

The trick is to not be liberal or conservative.

We need more moderates. We need more people willing to listen to both sides and choose the best ideas regardless of what side it originates from. Because face it, the moment you label yourself one or the other, or turn to the ideology of one side to understand and explain sociopolitical issues, is the moment you lose the ability to try to be objective.

Identity politics has to go.

Identity politics is inherently built off of identity fallacy.

IT's really a recipe for wide scale mental illness.

What else? Oh yeah, people have to start caring about what is true. That's really the core of the issue. It's obvious that people don't care about what is true.

Or if they do care about what is true, they have messed up priorities.

I don't see why someone can't be a liberal conservative or a conservative liberal. I think it is a false dichotomy.

That's what I am, a conservative liberal. I might be a liberal conservative if conservatives hadn't gone off the deep end and moved toward an authoritarian government! They are trying to remake our Democracy into a one party country, a one religion country, a new Constitution based on the Bible ... well, not "based", but taken from "The Book" (as THEY interpret it, of course).

"Small government", in the minds of those that want it, is a government easier controlled BY THEM ... the ones with the money that pay for the propaganda that sold the idea to millions of TODAYS conservatives. THAT is not a democracy!

Don't let these people who use the Lord's name in vain compromise your faith.

Magic is the utilization of belief as a tool.

If people have faith in anything, it will be exploited by those who practice magic.

The bible testifies that The Supreme and Ultimate Reality is God, and that this is the solution to all problems.

Without a doubt, God is the solution to all problems.

Superstition is rampant among those who claim to be believers and those who claim to not believe. Remember that God means "The Supreme and Ultimate Reality". and never compromise. Feel no shame in professing God, because all those who deny God are shamed.

Successful atheists arguments only show what God is not. Successful atheist arguments were already utilized by theologians long before atheists dared to claim credit for them. Regardless, these identity politics is not what determines truth.

The Truth is that God is The Supreme and Ultimate Reality. Anyone who denies God in their heart with real knowledge is a fool, and what can you expect from those who deny God but foolish politics?

I say that the people who are in doubt about God have no knowledge of God. It would be good for them to realize that God and superstition have no place together.

The rebloodicans and democrips alike are going to exploit belief in God. Don't believe either of them. Allow no mediators, God is the Good Teacher.

What caused it is the left moving further left. Used to, the left defended free speech, spoke out against real oppression of gays and women. Now you have to look to the right for these things. The left is more concerned with free crap, Socialism and victmization today. The right has nothing left from the left for common ground. The left isn't even liberal anymore. The left of the 1980s is more like the right of today. The left of today is adhering to foreign thinking and foreign ideologies that used to considered unAmerican. Scary stuff.

Side: It won’t get fixed

The left continues trying to fundamentally change America and is confused as to why it is met with large resistance. It's all the right has left if it wants America to even exist in the future. The right was fairly cordial until we saw a full blown forced takeover of media, schools, and Hollywood, that was geared towards branding anyone like us racists and bigots, which only causes the right to mobilize from a decades old defensive posture into an offensive posture. The left is lashing out because it never sees the right using 'leftist' offensive tactics for victory. We were supposed to be the side that plays nice and plays fair, but if you are punched enough times, you begin punching back. The bully is pissed that the victim decided to bring a bat to the playground this time.

Side: It won’t get fixed

Barack Obama caused much of it. He was full blown identity politics, which ends with if you aren't the correct identity, you must tribalize to defend yourselves. BLM came to be under him, he attended their meetings and supported them, and then they became militant. The schools militarized against Conservatives. The media militarized against Conservatives. Talk shows have militarized against Conservatives. Movies have militarized against Conservatives.

The right has politically charged up the hill out of self defense. Being an open Conservative is no longer safe, thus Conservatives have made a call to arms. Try being an out of the closet Conservative today. You become like a lepper, like gays and blacks used to be, told you are equal, yet never treated as such. The Democrat Party has always used the hatred of a group as its battle cry. Nothing has change other than the group they are against.

The left is always in war mode. This friction is because the Right has decided they will give the left the war it has been begging for.
