Liberals are closed minded.
Time and time again, they give liberal sources and won't tolerate it if anybody doesn't agree with said sources; whereas, when I give non-liberal sources, they say 'sources from insane people aren't really sources', or something to that effect. It's happened to me many times!
All of my friends are liberals, and they denounced me as a conservative because I oppose abortion. At the time I was a communist. Then I became a libertarian, because of their constant mocking.
Either you don't understand the definition of the word "friend" or you have a shitty life. I'm sorry that you hang out with assholes who would mock you for your political beliefs, but you have to understand that your experience is not representative of all liberals.
Liberals seem to think that they can do just about anything. They think they can change the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and many other things. Anyway, they don't give a crap about what you think and will, like blind drones, continue with the praise of Obama and blaming Bush. Even if Obama somehow single-handedly destroys the Earth, liberals with either blame it on Bush or Sarah Palin.
Throughout my experience, every liberal with whom I've been in contact is extremely closed minded. Anybody or anything which contradicts their beliefs is an heretic - it's happened time and time again.
Or maybe you just made bad arguments, but chose to blame everyone else. I have met tons of conservatives who I've agreed with on a number of issues, and have even had my mind changed on some issues because of their arguments.
You on the other hand believe that the government is out to get everyone and that evolution is a giant hoax. It shouldn't surprise you that you encounter people who think you're not exactly right in the head.
It's not just me, and at times even liberals have up-voted me; however, I find that they [liberals] are the most intolerant.

I'm a conspiracy theorist - and mainly, I just do it for fun (that is, fun at watching you people and your responses).
P.S. By the way, why do you rarely ever respond to my response of your dispute? You've ignored them several times. Once about the safety of modern foods - however, the one which comes to mind is where I wrote Benjamin Franklin's quote 'God heals and the doctor takes the fees.' You stated that, next time I'm sick, to tell the ambulance driver to the nearest church, instead. I responded with: At that time (mid-1700s), doctors were not exactly good at curing people. They believed that bloodletting would cure people, and thus some would exsanguinate. Is that not what happened to your beloved first president? If the disease was not going to lead to your death, than what harm would be done in going to a priest - who would not bleed you to death or near death - than a doctor who would bleed you?
Conspiracy theories are ridiculous. I promise you that there is no way that the government has the organization to pull off massive cover ups that involve numerous agencies. Clinton couldn't even hide the fact that he was getting blow-jobs on the side, how on earth could he keep all these other secrets you claim there to be?
As far as not responding to some of your debates, what often happens is I'll click your response, read it, and forget to come back to it. Either that or I think you've said something so ridiculous that I just don't feel like continuing the argument. If you want to link me to a few debates you would like a response to I'd be happy to respond.
Do you believe that Dorothy Kilgallen was murdered?
The official report was that the renowned reporter, who was at the time attempting to discover the truth behind Kennedy's assassination, died of overdosing on Seconal and alcohol - however, that does not explain the absence of all of her documents on the assassination.
Do you believe that JFK's assassination was precisely as the media reported it?
Do you believe that the media withholds information, or spreads misinformation?
If you answered "yes" to any of those, you are believe that conspiracies are real, despite your claim otherwise!

Ah, yes; that happens to me sometimes - if I even get notified of the existence of a response!

Do you believe that Bush was in any way responsible for 9/11?
Lack of national security maybe, but I don't think he orchestrated the thing.
Do you believe that Princess Diana was murdered?
To the best of my knowledge it was a car accident, which is one of the most common causes of death in places with cars. Can't say I know enough about the topic to give an informed opinion though.
Do you believe that hemp is illegal because oil companies want it to be so?
Sounds kinda ridiculous to me. I've heard more reasonable claims that DuPont and other textile companies wanted to make marijuana illegal so hemp wouldn't compete with nylon. I also know that yellow journalism was involved in scaring and misleading the public about its affects. Once again though, I haven't researched the subject thoroughly enough enough to make definitive claims.
Do you believe that Dorothy Kilgallen was murdered?
Don't have any idea who she is.
Do you believe that JFK's assassination was precisely as the media reported it?
I actually saw a special or two about this, and they concluded that the conspiracy theories are a little ridiculous.
Do you believe that the media withholds information, or spreads misinformation?
I think that in most media outlets some unintentional bias will creep into some stories (like how most media outlets essentially were cheerleading for the Bush administration leading up to the invasion of Iraq, or how water-boarding was referred to as torture in every major newspaper until it was revealed that the U.S. did it) but I don't think that stories get intentionally hidden, because it's usually in the interest of the news outlets to publish stories: it gets them higher ratings. One of the things I don't like about Fox news is that they do spread misinformation and intentionally, and only hire people based on political party. This isn't some conspiracy however, it's well known fact. The head of the network even said that Fox News was going to be the voice of opposition to the Obama presidency...not that he needed to. Anyone with a brain could see that Fox is biased.
I guess the term conspiracy is too broad. Technically what happened on 9/11 fits the definition of a conspiracy since a bunch of operatives from a terrorist group from Afghanistan managed to take over an aircraft. Obviously this isn't what I meant though. What I meant by conspiracy theories were those in which large government agencies are supposedly covering something up from the public and the only people that know about it are crazy people with online websites. Like I said before, the government just isn't competent enough to keep really big secrets from the public for any significant period of time. Look what happened to Nixon.
People will believe what they want to believe, regardless of how ridiculous it may sound to a rational person. If you want to believe that aliens were found in 1952 in Roswell, then I guess I can't stop you. If you want to believe that global warming is just a hoax, then all I can do is present the facts disputing your claims. If you want to believe that government agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration have some sinister plot to control you, then you can go ahead and live in fear. I on the other hand am going to act like a non-delusional individual and continue to make the reasonable assumption that my room is not bugged by government agents. But don't let me stop you from wearing your tinfoil hat.
I'll respond to the debate as soon as I get the chance.
What I've noticed is that there are more liberals than conservatives on this site. So it's the cornered animal fight or flight response. Since flight is impossible, we must fight. So we lash out more because we feel that others may find our viewpoints irrelevant to today's society.
If there are more Liberals why aren't there more debates devoted to attacking conservatism? And if they aren't attacking you, what exactly are you fighting? Do you find it impossible to coexist with people of differing opinions? This thread isn't shedding positive light on conservatives.
Why do people always seem to think that there are two options: liberalism and conservatism?
Whilst I do prefer conservatives to liberals, there are quite a few ideologies which I prefer - at times in a hypothetical scenario, and others in actual practice - including: utilitarianism, anarchism+, socialism+, libertarianism, and monarchism.
"+" denotes the political ideology/ideologies which I consider to be good "on paper", though not in actuality.
P.S. You claim to be in the military, which means that you cannot even speak out against the government! That, to me, sounds like fascism - perhaps totalitarianism - and is something which I am against; aren't conservatives for it, though? Libertarianism, my primary ideology, is against such restrictions of free speech.
Effectively 99% of the time when someone argues against "liberals" it's because they themselves espouse conservative views.

I can say whatever I want in my own home or whilst in civilian dress. If a reporter comes up to me while I am in uniform and asks me questions, I am not allowed to say certain things, this is part of an agreement that I made when I enlisted.

I should imagine that this is due to a lack of knowledge regarding the various other political ideologies; I once thought that I was a conservative, and it was only recently that I knew anything about libertarianism more than it's name: 'libertarianism' (sounded too much like 'liberalism' for my tastes). I've spoken with others on this topic and have learned that I was not alone in my ignorance.
You can't even dispute the right person! I posted the 'shut up' video, PrayerFails posted the 'Night of the Living Government' video! Either way, that does not negate my, and many other conservatives', experiences with those dastardly liberal 'shut-uppers'.
He agreed with you, so I decided to dispute him. I thought about copy and pasting my argument, but I hate it when people do that so I didn't.
The reason I chose to dispute him over you is because arguing with you is like arguing with a wall. You believe what you want to with complete disregard to the evidence. At least prayerfails is usually pretty reasonable.
A liberal is in office. If a conservative was in office the liberals would be on the constant attack.
But I do see where you are coming from because liberals are not use to what has been coming at them since Obama took office. Liberals hate when their tactics are used against them and thin skinned people cannot take much of that.
