Liberals love Bible verses about helping the poor. What about helping those being killed?
It's so funny listening to those on the Left preaching to Christians about how we are suppose to help the needy, the poor, the elderly, etc.
Christians know this and totally agree that we should freely give charity to help those who can not help themselves.
Now if God wants us to help the poor and needy and helpless, how much more would he want us to help innocent helpless babies from being killed?
This is when we see a 180 degree change from these pious hypocrite Liberals. When it comes to No Restriction abortions, those on the Left lose all compassion, love and kindness for the most vulnerable among us. You see, the so called kindness and compassion from the world is conditional.
To help those being sacrificed for convenience would mean losing votes and money from feminists and abortion groups.
The Democrat Party loses all compassion for the helpless when it hurts their power base. So the next time you want to piously preach to Christians about helping the needy, DON'T! Christians want to help all helpless people including babies.
Exactly... when it comes to verses pertaining to unnatural sex or sin, the Left is totally silent.
They love the verse of he without sin cast the first stone, but they never finish the verses where Jesus tells the woman to go and sin no more. They don't like the concept of sin and judgement. Their man made Bible only speaks to love love love. But of course their type of love does not apply to innocent babies.
Tell me the verses in the Christian New Testament where it says to kill Homosexuals. It says that homosexuality is a sin and unnatural but it does not say to kill them.
If there were such a thing as a test for homosexuality before birth, you would be the first one to support the right to kill them. I WOULD NEVER SUPPORT TAKING ANY INNOCENT LIFE.

The whole of the Bible is the Word of God, making where it appears irrelevant. Indeed, the NT commands Christians to obey the OT in exhaustive detail (Matt 5:18-19). Jesus commands man to execute sodomites. That settles the matter for Christians.
So, we must let someone like YOU pick and choose what verses we must "like"?? Our "type of love" DOES apply to innocent babies, especially those who have to have FOOD and medicine, that need clean air and water, that need their mothers. They DO get priority with us. We think it is "unnatural" to neglect those already here. "SIN" is what society says it is, by majority. NOT what a particular religion says it is! There are many, there are many different definitions of "sin". Yours is NOT mine, NOT what the MAJORITY says it is. Let's help the innocent babies that Trump has left motherless. Feed them, care for them, get them BACK to their mothers or family. It's a SIN, not to!
Abortion has actually been an issue addressed in Christian thought since practically the beginning. That may come as a surprise to those who think it is a recent phenomena.
No, Christians have always known that God knows us in the womb. There are even verses in the old testament speaking to punishment for any person accidentally causing a pregnant woman to lose her unborn baby.
The church can't do enough to help the poor and needy, and it shouldn't rely on the government to do it for them(not that the government shouldn't help the poor and needy, it seems like it should)
I wouldn't discourage Christians from helping the poor, and as Christians have been called to do for THOUSANDS OF YEARS, I think it is safe to say this is a conservative opinion.
What we DON'T like is Bible verses that put women "in their place", beneath men (no pun intended)! It is a "cobbled up" conglomeration of ancient campfire tales and sheep herder myths. Yes, libs love some of the "verses", those that make sense in a modern world, like defeating poverty, who wouldn't?? Oh, I know, MOST of the so called "freedom caucus" (TEA Party) …. no libs there! We really DO wish to save "lives". Lives that have mothers and fathers, sisters & brothers … friends … we don't like to see them suffer … like those mothers, brothers, sisters that have had their children's lives taken away from them by this cino President! THEY are suffering, their lives have been destroyed. THEY may never know if their child is alive … or killed! Yes, we believe in helping the poor. We'd LIKE to help them with HEALTH CARE, so their babies can be BORN … and HAVE a life! So the mothers can survive and see their babies LIVE. That's what Planned Parenthood DID, for the very most part! Cons would rather the mothers die, or the baby die AFTER it is born, AFTER it takes its "life giving breath"! "LIBS" like to leave judgements TO MOTHERS and doctors, rather than a bunch of Bible thumping, don't give a DAMN about women … who elected a likewise president! You may ban me now.

I dunno many Bible verses, but the one I like is about treating your neighbor as you would yourself.. Another one is about people who are without guilt shouldn't cast stones.. And, I like the one about judging, lest you be judged..
None of those are about the poor. The only one I know that's about the poor, is when Jesus washed some of their feet..
