During a recent discussion with a retired financial analyst for the Ford Motor Company I was informed that the idea of all the profits going to the employees and for the expansion of the business is the theory, but not the practice. Apparently, as always a hierarchy of executives earn much the same as their western equivalents. The weakness with the Chinese economy is that it is based on a number of shaky suppositions which include, The assumption that they will always be able to enjoy tariff free access to markets on which they impose import duty. The continuing availability of cheap labour and an absence of industrial disputes such as strikes. An acceptance by the countries to which they export of their poor Health & Safety laws and the lack of workers rights legislation. Side: Cons
Hello again, x: Well, I wasn't sure what you meant by "market socialism".. I presumed you meant a socialist economy.. And, that's the question I answered.. I DO agree with socialist solutions WITHIN a capitalist economy when they work, like your fire department works, and like health care COULD work.. excon Side: Pros
