We were never allies. I found him polite enough to talk to at first, but then we had a debate about the genetic code and I realised he's an idiot. He didn't understand the difference between DNA and the genetic code, and instead of admitting his error he derailed the debate and then tried to cover it up in subsequent posts. He was unwilling to even consider my argument because he mistakenly believed it was incompatible with his militant atheist beliefs.

@Nomenclature/a.k.a. NumberOne

We were never allies.

Interesting--so you admit to being Nomenclature now

I found him polite enough to talk to at first

If politeness is your standard to engage in conversation with others, why would anyone enter conversation with you?

He didn't understand the difference between DNA and the genetic code, and instead of admitting his error he derailed the debate and then tried to cover it up in subsequent posts. He was unwilling to even consider my argument because he mistakenly believed it was incompatible with his militant atheist beliefs.

(1) I made a minor semantic mistake while explaining the functions properly--of which I stated later. Even my professors make computational and/or definitional mistakes here and there in their own subject of expertise let alone a peripheral interest. This merely indicates that human minds are fallible, not computers. The true "idiot" is the fool in class that would try to jump down the professors throat for obviously trivial errors in comparison to the larger picture. Hence, you betrayed yourself by displaying "idiot" status. Note, this is 100% consistent with your 'Grammar Bully' tendencies

(2) You actually went on to make not only significant mistakes concerning what is currently known about the Genetic Code as well as 'codes' generally, but proceeded to make truly mind-numbingly stupid, scarcely sane claims in the absence of all evidence, in the face of common sense, and all based on the misunderstand of how the use of the term "code" is not an exact translation, but a helpful marker. It is amazing, you attempt to be such a stickler about language, however fail to do so adequately as you are ill-equipped for the job

(3) Pontificating that the genetic 'code' must have been artificially constructed since you fail to conceive of another option--therefore, Ancient Aliens distributed the 'code' throughout the entirety of the universe (who knows how long ago) as the most plausible scenario is frankly not only wrong-headed, but frankly stupendously idiotic. I gave you quite a number of oppurtunities to back down from that position, though it is clearly your operative view of the Universe currently

@Nomenclature

I know you where allies, you used to call him "brother" and he was literally on your allies list remember? You said "I pretty much agree with everything you say brother" remember? And the DNA debate is just another example of what I said before, the whole fucking thing just comes down to miscommunication if you really think about it. The genetic code is just a pattern of DNA sequences, it isn't actually something tangible in and of itself like DNA which is the actual physical molecule which creates the genetic code. Yet at the same time DNA in and of itself is not the genetic code, because the code is the pattern created by the molecule. You are both wrong and you are both right because the whole argument was over semantics and terminology.

He was on my allies list until I realised I was wrong about him being a Wolfgang alt account. I got him mixed up with another contributor, that's all.

No, it comes down to him being a narcissistic, self-loving moron who would sooner attack other people with hurtful lies than admit a mistake. He's an obnoxious, pseudo-intellectual fool desperate for other people to consider him as intelligent. He doesn't listen, he reeks of arrogance and he struggles to structure basic sentences coherently.

The genetic code is just a pattern of DNA sequences

Did I ask you what the difference between the genetic code and DNA is?

You clearly don't understand what you're talking about, so why don't you just stfu? Go talk to another one of your alternate personalities, you schizophrenic fuck bag.

Nomenclature and I have some overlapping views, which then diverge rather sharply in other areas. The first time I came into contact with Nomenclature (upon joining this forum), we agreed on the matter of parental authority/attitude over children being unwarranted. I think the Prison debate with Amarel and U.S. Foreign Policy were quite early on also, which are areas of convergence.

In regards to the 'genetic code' topic, this is not a miscommunication. Nomenclature has stated in no uncertain terms that it has effectively no way of arising 'naturally'==> artificial construction ==> Intelligent Designer ==> Ancient Aliens ==> Mass distribution throughout the Universe by these 'Ancient Aliens'. Actually, it is less plausible then the 'Ancient Aliens' "theory" promoted on the History Channel tv series--which, needless to say, is absurd
