A California woman told police officers that she is a mermaid. Yes, a mermaid. It was bound to happen, folks. Fresno police officers say the unidentified woman was found walking the streets nearly naked around 3 a.m. on Tuesday. Her hair was wet and she told officers that she had been in the water. She also has webbed toes on both feet, which presumably helped to steer her toward her true mermaid identity. The woman was reportedly unable to answer most questions launched at her by Fresno officers, mostly answering with I don't know. She is 5-foot-4, weighs about 150 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hair. She was found walking down the middle of Millerton Road across from the Eagle Spring Golf & Country Club, about a mile south of Table Mountain. In recent years, we've seen a former male Olympian identify as a woman, a white woman identify as black, a man identify as an alien and humans identify as animals, to name a few in the "trans" game. So really what's the big deal if a woman  who has webbed toes I might add  says she's a mermaid? Officers ask you call 559-621-2455 with any information to help identify the woman (other than her mermaid identification).
