minecraft enables you to think as much as listening to music enables you to think, or as much as watching a film enables you to think. this is a terrible question. provided you are able to multitask you will be able to think no more or less in minecraft than any other activity. however regarding minecraft as a tool for human mental development you could say minecraft will form neural connections as much as any other activity. to play minecraft is to develop maybe some skils and arts such as spacial awareness, design, reaction times, teamwork... If you include minecrafts electrical systems it is also a very enriching logic development program. however none of this is special or particular to minecraft. you will develop much of the same skills in debatably more efficient ways through other actions. but back to thinking, i wouldn't however expect to begin thinking of the meaning of life or the current political status while playing minecraft, only the building of the next structure.
