North vs South
okay, so i've recently had a discussion with someone about northerns and southerns of the US.
northerner's tend to think that southerner's are basically uneducated people who live like rednecks and evertyhing and have that southern stereotype & think theyre narrowminded and conservative. whereas southerners feel that northerners are ignorant people who feel that theyre stereotyping against that based on movies and flawed media.
I want your opinions on it!
please reply :]
Most northerner's have actually been to the south if they themselves don't have family that lives in the south. Unless they happen to live in a cave, most northerners know that media portrayals of the south are exaggerated. I think these stereotypes still exist solely for comedic or entertainment purposes. 1

Well the north made their living from factories and trade while the south lived from small farms and plantations. Both sides had opposite arguments, and historians believe that it was not slavery that began the civil war but the belief in state rights or the Union, although slavery became a huge part of it and that's what most people think the whole war was about. |
