Obama Demands Congress Pass Gun Control For Christmas

“If the U.S. Government has determined that it is too dangerous for you to board a plane then you shouldn’t be able to buy a gun,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said during a press conference in Paris today. “Congress should pass this law before leaving for the Holidays,” Earnest said.

Earnest’s rhetoric continues the White House efforts pushed by anti-gun activists to do something on gun control.

We are looking at the first small step of this Regime to try and ban guns in this country.

What is the next step for the U.S. Government to determine who is to dangerous to purchase a gun ?

They should instead send him a bill massively expanding coal production in the United States. It would be a funny symbol.

Under the Obama Regime when will the U.S. Government determine whom is to dangerous to purchase guns ?

The U.S. Government has already determined whom is too dangerous to purchase guns.

I wonder how many people, particularly on the right (but not exclusively of course) would support tightening gun control for Muslims in America.

You are very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very wrong

All Obama is trying to do is make a magazine limit for automatic weapons. Something every republican president has done since Ronald Reagan.

Magazine limits might have what to do with a no fly list ? Make that insane connection for me !

Your reading off of a false article. Obama doesn't want to ban guns he just wants to make there a magazine limit of automatics. Something every single republican president has attempted to do since Reagan.

What are you talking about? Obama said he wants tighter restrictions on who can purchase guns. When did he say anything about magazines?

Obama said and Obama tried are two totally different things. Obama talks about everything. But only attempts a small percentage of those things.

What percentage of gun murders in the last year have been committed by people on the no-fly list? That's a statistic I would be interested in knowing. It seems like this bill is nothing more than a gesture. Is gun violence committed by people on the no-fly list really such an urgent problem that we need a bill passed in the next 25 days? It just seems like a red herring.

Most criminals get guns through loopholes in our gun legislation. Nobody is suggesting that gun legislation will stop murders period. But we can clearly see this shit is out of control and this is a logical first step.

Is it a logical first step? When have you heard of someone on the no fly list buying a gun and shooting someone?

Never? But if you background check everyone shouldn't that be a deal breaker?

As President, he is elected to protect the people of the United States....even from themselves. That is only a part of what he is trying to do. He really needs to protect us from the groups that say: "Nothing will stop criminals from getting guns!" Terrorists are criminals! One party would make it as easy as possible for these "criminals" to purchase as many guns as they need to kill Americans. The other party wants at least a fighting chance to catch, or at least see a red flag, when some unknown person purchases a dozen assault weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Weird idea, huh?? At least there is a POSSIBILITY to save Americans lives if there is SOME regulation and vetting! SOME MORE THAN WE HAVE! (Which doesn't amount to CRAP!). Breitbart wont take responsibility for the deaths resulting from the purchase of guns because of little restriction! THEY wont take responsibility for ANYTHING! It would be , at least MORE difficult for terrorists to arm themselves IF we could keep a closer watch!

After a Republican President was shot, the most restrictive rules to that time were passed. If many Americans are shot....at least while this so called "anti-gun President is in office (who has passed more "for" gun laws than "against"!) HE will be blamed, not Breitbart! He HAS to demand Congress do something before that happens! Maybe you'd like a mortar for Christmas??? If gun powder was brains, the "for" party couldn't get enough together to blow their nose!

Gun laws are necessary to keeping our nation safe but only to a certain extent. We have the right to own a gun to protect ourselves by the second amendment but obviously not everyone should be able to own a gun. Some will argue tighter gun control laws will benefit us but they have been proven to be ineffective. States that consisted of the lowest gun control laws had much lower murder rates associated with guns then those with high gun controls laws. Gun control laws don't prevent bad people from getting guns it prevents good people from getting guns. We are at a time where terrorism is becoming a greater threat and trying to fight off a terrorist who has a gun and a bomb is not easy with just your fists. The terrorists who are carrying out these attacks did not get there guns legally so obviously adding more laws only affects the American people who would use the legal system to obtain one, not the terrorists who leave the legal system completely off their minds.
