Obama wants to sell 1.15 billion in weapons to Saudi Arabia

Four U.S. senators introduced a joint resolution seeking to block the U.S. sale of $1.15 billion of Abrams tanks and other military equipment to Saudi Arabia, citing issues including the conflict in Yemen. The measure was introduced by Republican Senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee and Democrats Chris Murphy and Al Franken, the latest indication of strong disapproval of the deal among some U.S. lawmakers."Selling $1.15 billion in tanks, guns, ammunition, and more to a country with a poor human rights record embroiled in a bitter war is a recipe for disaster and an escalation of an ongoing arms race in the region," Paul said in a statement. In August, 64 members of the House of Representatives signed a letter urging President Barack Obama to delay the sale. The Pentagon announced on Aug. 9 that the State Department has approved the potential sale of more than 130 Abrams battle tanks, 20 armored recovery vehicles and other equipment to Saudi Arabia.

The President of the United States wants to sell weapons to terrorist but is concerned with gun control in the United States. The hypocrisy of the Idiot An Chief is on full display here. Hypocrisy is all owned by the Democratic/Progressive Party !

Yes, Obama the hypocrite only wants guns in the hands of Governments and his body gaurds. The disarmed people can all die from terrorists for all he cares.

Did you see what happened in taht mall where the man was slashing people with a knife?

Did you see what happens when an innocent person is armed with a conceiled weapon? No one died but the terrorist.

Obama does not have a problem selling weapons but weapons in the hands of Americans is a problem for him. Hypocrisy at it's highest level.

Barack Obama will sell weapons to terrorist organisations but he wants more gun control in the United States ? THE NEGRO CAN GO TO HELL !

Terrorists?

Hardly. The Saudis are our allies and have been forever. Just because Bin Laden's family id from there does not make them a terrorist regime. That's like saying we in the USA are a rogue terror state because Tim McVeigh was from here.

Get real.

The US is by far the largest seller of weapons in the entire world and have been for a long long time. Saudi Arabia for at least a decade has been our top buyer.

You like to try to wake people up with a harsh reality. Well wake up to this: the US is in the arms business and we would and do sell to the devil himself to make a buck. And the entirety of Washington from Congress to the President is in on it. And even if an outsider gets in who wasn't part of the larger plan there is no way they can derail what is the primary money maker for our economy, meaning Trump too would end up being President while arms sales are made to Saudi Arabia. Heck, if there's one thing Trump understands is don't pass up a buck. If Saudi Arabia came to Trump wanting to spending 1.15 billion he'd sell to them, too.

Such dubious activities are rationalized with the reasoning that if we don't sell the weapons to sovereign states someone else will.

Personally I subscribe to that argument as the United States does not sell nor sanction the sale of weapons to rogue states nor individual militia groups.

The sale of arms helps the balance of payments and provides the arms industry with the opportunity to test their hardware in real situations which in turn assists us to stay ahead of our enemies and hostiles.

Don't give me the bullshit about it being hypocritical, it's a big bad world and it takes people of substance to make the hard decisions so the sanctimonious ''bleeding hearts' can get a free ride and type judgmental crap in the safety of their home.
