I believe that I will like this book. I love the contrasting personalities of George and Lennie, and I love how they have formed a family of sorts by looking out for each other and the such.

I also wonder what importance Lenny's fondness of mice holds.

I believe you will like the book, too. Remember that this book has been controversial because it contains violence, and cussing.

i agreee with you athough i have already read this bbok i think that it shows how society is split into diffrent secters and its not all fair on crooks as he has no friends nor family to talk to

Side: yes

Of Mice and Men is probably my favorite novel. When I read it went directly to my heart and awakened my emotions to the point of crying.

I believe that was the only art that made me cry... along with King Kong and Titanic, but those are movies.

I think that I will enjoy this book. The first chapter seems to be the start of a deep and thought-provoking plot. I think that George and Lennie seem to be bonded close enough for George to be Lennie's keeper. So far "Of Mice and Men" seems to be a delightful book of compassion and trust. (And rabbits)

Compassion and trust - two great descriptive words for this novel?

I too think the bond between Lennie and George is very great and will take a very great journey. What I think may be over look and might be accentual to the is the mouse and will become a key factor in the book

Welcome to the site Kennedy! The Lennie/George bond is the most important part of the book.

I enjoyed the first chapter of the book, and i am excited to read on. The bond between George and Lennie is very unique. George tries very hard to protect Lennie, however, it seems as though he is trying to restrict him. When Lennie finds the mouse down by the river, George demands he to give it to him, remembering how Lennie would squeeze their heads until he killed them.

I do not think I will like this book. First of all, I don't like the small print because it is harder for me to read it. Second, the characters talk in a slang language that can be confusing every once in awhile. But, I guess I just need to give the book a chance and read it to the best of my ability.

I am unsure if i will like this book. Judging from the first chapter,

George and Lennie's relationship is a bit odd. To Lennie, George is like an older brother or a father of sorts, however, i think that George pities Lennie more than he actually wants to take care of him. It doesn't seem like a half bad book, but there is no way of telling from just reading one chapter.

The second chapter is even harder to read. There is a lot of foul language, and hard references. Just remember that it is true to its time frame. The 1930s were a tough time for the American working man.

I think that I will like this book. I like Lennie and George's personalities and how they show the way that we should look after each other. The language that the author uses makes it interesting as well.

Personally, I don't think i will enjoy this book because first, I can't relate to the two main characters, second, the slang they use is hard to understand, and third, I think its going to be way to short of a book to have an interesting plot.

Yes the book is short and honestly the plot is pretty simple as well. I just got done reading this (Amazing) book for my English 10 class, and it had a lot of us going, there is a lot of foul language and a ton of slang, but the book is better because of it, could you imagine big 'ol Lennie talking proper English? This book has a lot of meaning to it and is a master piece, one thing to keep in the back of your mind is, Does George actually care about Lennie? Trust me, this is just one of those book's you need to read.
