Exactly. Doublespeak. Turning the truth upside down.

Like when you pretend Orwell was on the far right and his terminology was meant to describe the left, when the reality is exactly the opposite:-

Eric Arthur Blair (25 June 1903 – 21 January 1950), better known by his pen name George Orwell, was an English novelist and essayist, journalist and critic, whose work is characterised by lucid prose, awareness of social injustice, opposition to totalitarianism, and outspoken support of democratic socialism.

Right. Just like the conga line of examples I gave you that you didn't address for obvious reasons.

Or we could stick to facts.

But, Stalin wanted to crush all left-wing parties who were not the Communist party; this led to a civil war amongst the Republican movement in Spain. Orwell got caught up in this and it made him really disgusted with Stalin and the Communist party.

“the Communists stood not upon the extreme Left, but upon the extreme right. In reality this should come as no surprise, because of the tactics of the Communist parties elsewhere.”
