Outsourcing or no Outsourcing

With Obama set to take control of US in mid Jan 09, all eyes are set on his action on outsourcing. One of his main electoral campaign issue has been outsourcing and he gurantees that he will do something about it. I would like to know your stand on outsourcing as to if you are with or against it. As for me, I am with outsourcing because considering at the current financial situations of the companies, I don't think the companies will be able to handle the extra wages pressure that will be put in, if outsourcing is reduced and more US people are employed instead. I believe it will just exaggerate the recession position.

Please allow me to use a real life example. We have an Electrical Engineer who makes ~140K per year. He has been offered and accpeted a job to move to india to create a new engineering team in India. This means that means ~5 other Engineers will be layed off in the US. Looking at strictly tax issues the City, County, State and Federal Government will all experience lower tax revenue.

This is why

How much of the Budget Problem in California is due to high tech job exports? California is ultimitely going to loose silicon valley as a revenue source and a technology incubator. What does this implie for California in the Long Term?

The fundatmental problem hear is that our leaders are not equipped to solve this problem.

1. All Politicains once they get elected are focused on 1 thing. Re-election!! Every thing else is secondary.

2. Politicians are elected based on Speeches and Video. That's it. No other requirements.

3. The american public refuses to fire their bad politician at every election cycle.

So in conclusion I am against outsourcing but I expect to continue and accelerate and that our leaders will do nothing to fix it. I am predicting a real unemployement rate of 25%. Followed by violent national protests.

Outsourcing is a long term investment, which is why you need to be careful with the process, because handing the wrong tasks to a third party can hurt your business more than it can help. The reasons why you should outsource to Australian offshore services will vary depending on the type of your business, what you are planning to outsource and the current state of your organization. One of the primary reasons why you should decide to outsource is that it can help you save a lot of money.

Outsourcing software development can be a great way to get quick access to talented developers and accelerate the development process. However, it is important to consider the associated risks and take the necessary steps to ensure that the project runs smoothly.

To start, you should create a detailed plan that outlines the scope of the project, timeline, and expected deliverables. This will help ensure that both parties are on the same page and there are no misunderstandings. Additionally, ensure that the development team has the experience and skills necessary to complete the project. Once the development team is in place, it is important to establish a clear communication process and set up checkpoints for progress updates.

Finally, make sure you have a contract in place that outlines the expectations of both parties including payment terms, intellectual property rights, and any potential liabilities. By taking these steps, you can enjoy the benefits of outsourcing and have better control over the entire process: https://procoders.tech/blog/how-to-outsource-app-development/.

When outsourcing software development, we need to be able to delegate certain tasks to delegate (design, development, testing, maintenance, etc.) to external third-party companies. These vendors may be located in your region or in the offshore area. To approach the development wisely and shape potential project outcomes, you need to weigh in-house vs outsourcing pros and cons first. I think the pros outweigh the cons, by reading an article about in-house vs outsourcing development at https://solveit.dev/blog/in-house-vs-outsourcing . The main pros in my opinion are direct control, effective communication, deep understanding of the company's culture. Considering these factors, I believe that the advantages of in-house development outweigh the potential drawbacks.

By my way of thinking outsourcing only helps the company bottom line. It does nothing for the American worker who struggles to make a living. We're getting the boom-boom stick from both ends with outsourcing. It takes jobs away from us and they charge the same price for the things they outsource. They make no consideration for the fact that they paid less to have the object made elsewhere so, in actuality, they're even pulling down a higher profit margin! How is that fair to our people?

If a company cannot afford to be based here, pay American wages and aid the economy of this country then they should move south of the border, north of Delhi or to the west side of Luzon, set up shop there and export it back here! It would probably come in cheaper than it does now!

As to informational outsourcing, such as customer service, I'll say NO to that too. Every time I get someone from India on the phone my transaction takes three times longer to complete because of the very thick accents and the fact that they don't take the initiatives to decide things an American worker would. Why do you want to subject your customers to this nonsense? I never call any large company on a week-end anymore because they seem to have more telephone lines that run to Delhi than anywhere else and at any other time unless they're tied into the Philippines or S.A.!!!

If a company wishes to outsource their jobs they should be taxed and taxed again. Once for doing it and the second time for hurting our economy in the workplace.

I got laid off 3 years ago. I worked for that company nearly for 10 years. I have been struggling to get a job back for the past 3 years. I couldn't pay my monthly mortgages and the bank took my 3 bed room house away from me. With my wife and my 3 year old daughter we moved with my parents who live in a 1 bed room apartment. I used to make about $40 an hour. I have been forced to try for all kinds of jobs, instead of IT. I have started working as a construction worker and make $8 per hour now. That too I dont get work consistently. I voted for Obama trusting he'll improve the economy and bring American jobs back home. No improvement for the past 2 years. Some people claim that stopping outsourcing will make U.S. companies incompetent, but people like me have been forced to struggle for daily food because of outsourcing.

Companies should be ashamed of themselves for getting rid of American employees so they can outsource jobs overseas because there are people in those countries who will work for less money.
