Pennies!

The penny
We all know pennies are too worthless to carry too many around at once. Of course, it's used as spare change by some. Do you use pennies? Do you go out of your way to get rid of them? Do you save them and turn them in at a coinstar machine years down the road? (This works. My parets accumulated over $1,500 in 13 years of spare change)
What do you do with pennies?

I save them. Just like your parents, I like to see unexpected money show up out of nowhere. But I refuse to pay 8.9% for a conversion into cash, so from now on I only use my credit union's coin machine, that puts the money directly into your account. As all of my friends know, I'm a change hound. Side: save until worth something
They are not worth the materials used to make them. Seriously. Literally. But I've always saved them, because it's satisfying to take my change to the bank and get all this money I didn't know I had. Then again, I've probably only made about $50 in pennies in my lifetime. But still! Side: save until worth something
I used to collect every penny possible. Saved $120 worth. Spend em when you get em. Carrying them is a waste and depositing them won't get you anything UNLESS the government offers 10%-12% returns on cashing them in like a long time ago. The U.S. spends so much money creating such a worthless thing. Side: garbage

I have been saving pennies since circa 1973 and have a 5 gallon water jug 5/8 filled with them! While I have no idea what is really in there as far as amount, it's still kind of fun to pick them up and chuck them in there. Thank goodness I have a coin counting machine to tally them up whenever it goes that way! People now just throw them on the ground or whatever and I'm always picking them up and in they go! Side: save until worth something
Well I pay little attention to pennies myself. :) It's just too much effort, although I know they add up eventually, to hold on to a few here and there. But I do have several from pre-1959, when they switched the design of the penny to the way it is currently. I used to collect those like crazy, thinking they were rare and valuable. Turns out, they're only worth about $0.02.... Haha. They doubled in value! But that's still nothing. I need to find a genuine 1943 copper penny. It's the most valuable penny out there. :D Side: save until worth something
pennies are definitly useful because if you save them up you can get alot of money i saved up for like 15 years and i got 55.00 dollars out of it so to me there very useful to me and other people and there very good because if you buy something thats like 59.98 then you cant get you're change back thats three cents you wont ever have or 4 or 3 or 2 or1 gosh people Side: One cent richer
I'm a tight cnt. I hold onto all my change and save it up until it's worth something. Although a lot of the time I just use it when its needed. I change it into pounds everynow and again so I haven't had an huge amount at once but over the years it's probably added up to about £20. Lol trampy. Side: One cent richer
