People literally Starving thanks to Socialism in Venezuela
Once South America’s richest country, Venezuela implemented a socialist agenda.Now people are starving to death.Venezuela’s inflation, estimated by the International Monetary Fund to reach 720% in 2017, is the highest in the world. The economy has shrunk 27% since 2013, according to local investment bank Torino Capital; imports of food have plummeted 70%.Huge numbers of Venezuelans are bringing their children as they rummage through garbage for food; farm crops are routinely stolen; groceries are looted. As The Wall Street Journal notes, things have become so dire that families padlock their refrigerators.According to the National Poll of Living Conditions, 75% of Venezuelans said they had lost an average of 19 pounds last year. As a result, riots have erupted; by last Friday, more than 35 people had been reported killed. Livia Machado, a physician and child malnutrition expert, said there has been a marked upswing in emaciated infants brought to the Domingo Luciani Hospital in Caracas. A recent study from the Catholic charity Caritas of 800 children under the age of 5 in Yare and three other communities showed that in February nearly 11% could die from severe acute malnutrition. Meanwhile, government officials will not permit food and aid to be imported. 90% of homes in the country could not afford food to feed their residents.

Good job showing the facts of what Socialism can bring rather than people getting fake news from all the Liberal biased media touting the supposed benefits of socialistic plans such as Obamacare. They convieniently ignore all the debt and many problems with their socialized plans. They constantly throw out how 20 million people have been added to the medicaid roles, and NEVER address the millions of middle class families who can not afford the huge deductibles and premiums they are forced to pay to give free healthcare to those 20 million. It's like we always say... socialism punishes hard work and success while enabling laziness and irresponsibility. 2

Fire departments started in and still play the biggest role in urban environments, where failing to stop any one fire quickly becomes everyone's problem. Disposal of waste water is similarly everyone's problem. Out in the country, people have their own septic tanks, and though they pay taxes like everyone else, no fire truck will reach them in time to save their home. If they could hire an effective private system, I'm sure they would. Instead they just have to be careful. Socialism usually looks pretty good for an economy in the short run, and then things deteriorate. Which is likely why Sweden is turning away from it, even as their culture of work ethic degrades. There's always a well functioning socialist nation for the left to hail right before it crumbles or changes. This has been a pattern for decades. Your article says nothing about Sweden "crumbling" as a nation. But logically all societies will come to an end and that doesn't mean that it wasn't a successful.
