People should post more than one sentence when they are responding to a debate post!

A debate is an argument meant to persuade the other side. It is supposed to be thought out, assertive and without waver. A sentence stating you agree or saying yes is useless ib=n a debate. that is ust your opinion not fodder for changing someones mind of affirming their belief!

Then it is not truly a debate. A debate are free flowing ideas and usually two opposing arguments. Designed to sway listeners to your side through the use of logic, facts, wit and command of speech! A yes or no is a poll not a debate! perhaps the problem in that the website calls all of these debates and do not elaborate!

If your argument can be concise, why do you have to elaborate?

You going to be annoyed simply because it's a sentence, rather than the validity or lack thereof within the argument itself?

Quantity of words does not equate to quality of post. Of course there will be those stupid spammers, trollers, or ignorant people that give one sentence responses a bad reputation. , but if a person can adequately and intelligently respond to a post with one sentence, then there is nothing wrong with that. Sometimes, people that type tons of stuff tend to spew a lot of BS or redundant information. Quantity of words does not determine quality!
