Political positions are oversimplified.

Which is better, more or less gun control? More or less regulation? Bigger or smaller government? Big or small business?
This is how political issues are framed today. Nevermind the type of gun control or regulation, it's simply about more or less of it. Nevermind the role of government, what matters is how big it is. Now a company becomes an evil corporation after it gets to a certain size, nevermind what the company actually does.
This is the root of our political problems. Voters can not think in nuances. People vote with their hearts, and nobody want's to change that.
End Rant.

It's called KISS; keep is simple, stupid. It's used in sales; people really don't want, or need to know the nuts and bolts of how things work, only that it does. If you bog them down in details, you will lose them. Sell the sizzle, make the sale; keep it simple.

But not everything is simple. When you have to simplify nuanced issues, things fall through the cracks.

I didn't say it was. I was saying you don't have to tell people how to build a watch in order to tell them the time.

I suggests worldwide lobotomies.

How else do we change the way people are wired?

Let's shower the world with chemicals from the sky.

No one wants to change that?

Can it be changed? Is the question.

Bigger Government is what is wanted by Democrats. More control they have the more power they can have.

Bigger or smaller government? Was that not mentioned and you wrote it.

A thousand times yes.

Based on the way politicians act I would say that they only handle simplification. People say they only want universal background checks. Politicians consider that gun control, then propose a bunch of other gun control regulations that have nothing to do with background checks. People say that the middle class is paying too much in taxes, so politicians lower it for everyone. If we keep electing these shitty politicians we will get shitty oversimplification.
