The Hollywood star who made Clarice Starling famous in 1991’s “The Silence of the Lambs” told USA Today this week that almost every man above the age of 30 bears culpability for sexual misconduct in the world.

“It’s every industry,” the actress said Wednesday. “It’s not just one socioeconomic bracket or one complexion. Pretty much every man over 30 has to really look and start thinking about their part. And I guarantee, lots of it is unconscious. When you’ve been in a privileged position where you haven’t had to look at your part, you didn’t 100 percent understand you were in a bubble. It’s an interesting time for men.

This is completely asinine. First of all, the percentage of men that actually commit sexual assault is an extremely small minority and no other man (who isn't a predator--i.e. the overwhelming majority) supports it. Men who are sexual predators are dealt with extreme hostility in the male community (e.g. just look at how rapist are dealt with in prisons).

Neo-feminism has been doing extreme amounts of harm in modern society in part by teaching women/girls that outrageous statements like this are somehow laudable while really it is profoundly ignorant, prejudiced, hateful, ect. Anyone actually familiar with the research knows that sexual abuse is not a gendered issue even though people like Foster (and neo-Feminism) is attempting to claim as such (in a very unethical way).

Besides which, Polanski has always denied the rape allegation and there is evidence to support that he is telling the truth.
