Real Life Superheroes.

I was astounded when I came across the above link while surfing the internet. Apparently, there's an organization of masked crime fighters running around the streets of their residential cities all around the United States and some of Canada. They don't actually tend to take a vigilanteeism stance when approaching this issue, and instead tend to fight public apathy and suffering.

Nonetheless, they are people running around in costumes. So the question now is, what do you think about it? Are they crazy people who are going to get themselves hurt? Or are they just some eccentric nice guys who were inspired to help out?

As long as they do so in a way that doesn't break laws or interfere with police investigations, they might as well do what they can to make they world a better place. Doing the little things, comforting people, raising money for charities, etc. is kind of cool. They really should stay away from comic book style vigilantism, though. In the real world, that's a horrible idea. But at least the majority of them are smart enough to realize this. And they should be aware that it can be potentially dangerous, regardless of how they do it.

Interestingly, I remember reading an article several years ago that this phenomenon has been happening in Mexico as well (and at least a few South American countries too, if I remember correctly.)
