Redemption

He who was pure and holy bore our sins upon Himself, suffering the punishment of Hell on the cross, giving us His own righteousness so that we might be seen as pure and holy before God the Father.

1 Corinthians 5:7b ~ "For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed."

Exodus 12:5a,9 ~ "Your lamb shall be without blemish... Do not eat any of it raw or boiled in water, but roasted, its head with its legs and its inner parts."

Isaiah 53:4-6 ~ "Surely he has borne our griefs / and carried our sorrows; / yet we esteemed him stricken, / smitten by God, and afflicted. / But he was pierced for our transgressions; / he was crushed for our iniquities; / upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, / and with his wounds we are healed. / All we like sheep have gone astray; / we have turned—every one—to his own way; / and the Lord has laid on him / the iniquity of us all."

1 Peter 2:24-25 ~ "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls."

2 Corinthians 5:21 ~ "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
