Reincarnation
There is no way to prove it. There is no way to disprove it. Neither side has the burden of proof.
This debate is for the people who do NOT believe in any sort of heaven. This debate is not arguing that Hinduism is correct. It is simply whether or not we are reincarnated.
Once we die, do we stay in that grave for ever? And ever? And..... EVER? Or do we, at some time or another, come back to the earth in another form, with no knowledge of the world as we knew it.
Many will say this is stupid, but I am constantly plagued by the thought of staying in the grave for ever. And... ever. There is no end. Not until the universe ends. Not until all time ends.

If you believe in heaven, this may not be the correct debate for you. Also, doesn't it get kinda crowded up there? Reincarnation seems probable because it is mind-boggling to think that we are alive for only appr. 70 years in the grand scheme of the universe. The universe may have a lifespan of infinite years. But we only are alive for a tiny time. Do we die for good? No. 391 days ago | Side: Reincarnation after death
alot of new born babies seem to be ,very knowing, looking around the delivery suite, like they have been on this planet before.. its like they have the soul, of a old one, that has lived before, maybe born into this new boundle of joy.... have you ever, strongly felt, when youve met someone for the first time, like youve always known them, perhaps you did in another life...like your soul mates out there looking for you,, 391 days ago | Side: Reincarnation after death
I believe we are reincarnated after death because its kinda obvious how ever 30 seconds , someone dies . And every 60 seconds , someone is born . This world keeps on growing , and if you really think about it , there would have been no more people in this world if no one reincarnated. ... 390 days ago | Side: Reincarnation after death
There is no way to prove it. True. There is no way to disprove it. True. Neither side has the burden of proof. Well, neither side can ever hope to fulfill their BOP. This debate is not arguing that Hinduism is correct. Someone should do a debate on that. Once we die, do we stay in that grave for ever? And ever? And..... EVER? You believe that after death, we retain consciousness? That's sheer lunacy and CAN be disproven by the obvious dearth of any brain activity after death. Or do we, at some time or another, come back to the earth in another form, with no knowledge of the world as we knew it. So if we are in no way similar to our past "lives," how have we been re-incarnated? What is the "we?" This "we" does not exist unless we retain something that defines our part of existence. I would say that is our essence. Though our bodies may die and wither, our essences live on. I guess a colloquial oversimplification of that would be the word "soul." Many will say this is stupid, but I am constantly plagued by the thought of staying in the grave for ever. And... ever. There is no end. Not until the universe ends. Not until all time ends. 389 days ago | Side: Reincarnation after death
