What's so crazy about worshiping an invisible giant in the sky that's never offered the tiniest bit of evidence of his/it's existence?

Some are, some aren't. I can say the same about atheists, some are some aren't.

There is nothing I can think of i atheism that would DRIVE one "crazy", other than the fact that SOME need SOMETHING to lean on, and an atheist doesn't have an imaginary "god" to pull up.

The religious, on the other hand, do. Problem is we've heard too many times that "God made me kill my possessed children, or wife, or mother, etc".. David Koresh, Jim Jones and others DID have a god to follow, and, they WERE crazy. DRIVEN crazy by their belief!

I don't think religious people are crazy. I don't think atheists are crazy, but, an atheist doesn't have a BELIEF that may drive him/her crazy. But, There are a couple of religious nuts here on CD that kinda drive ME nuts! ;-)

Certainly, are they not human?

It is fundamental to Christianity to actually admit this. Christians might be crazy, but who else is actually admitting that they are crazy?

Technically there just deluded and a bit slow. We can never prove or disprove the existence of a being that made the universe, so the question is really moot. The question should be : Can religious people be trusted to make decisions based on fact and imperical evidence.
