Revolutionary Reasons
Where the Patriots justified in their rebellion against the British or were they acting treasonous and irresponsible?
They were desperate, tired, cold, and hungry. There were many reasons why the colonist took up in arms, but they didn't act irresponsible or treasonous (unless you were loyal to the British then they were treasonous). Quite a few of them fought in war before and knew what they were getting in to. Well, let's take a look and see ........ http://dadmansabode.com/forum/ You mean the Declaration of Independence?... I think I remember you telling me that you weren't an American so I'll tell you the difference. The Deceleration of Independence was basically the colonist sending a message to Great Britain that they felt mistreated and that they were breaking all ties with Great Britain. In the Declaration, the colonist listed reasons why they wish to be independent. That's why he posted it. The US Constitution tells what the US government can and can not do. The first ten Amendments were inspired by the English Bill of Rights. |
