Medicare keeps the Insurance industry in the mix. Those are "for profit" entities. If the government takes over, appoints medical people AND economists to run healthcare, ceases the uncontrollable urge of the insurance cartel to build the biggest, most beautiful buildings in every city, and concentrates the control in ONE building (maybe a few satellites offices around the country), puts those $billions of CEO/CFO compensations and junkets into the health care we pay for, there'll be a hell of a lot more going to health care where it was intended! For profit schools, for profit prisons, for profit insurance. The bottom lines of these "for profit" entities keeps getting higher! Capitalism at its WORST! If they would stick to productive businesses we would all be better off .... and have more money to buy their PRODUCTS! Side: CHEAPER

In America absolutely everything -- education, rehabilitation and insurance -- is only considered important if it generates a profit for somebody powerful.
