"1. molested children" The Catholic Church never molested children. Some perverts used the most sacred institution on earth to molest children. The Church did make some mistakes but it can not weed out every bad apple. "2. imprisoned Galileo" The Church imprisoned him but then admitted that it made a mistake. "3. encouraged Africans with AIDS to not use condoms" The Church was against using condoms, but it said to abstain from having sex until marriage. If you don't have sex with some one or ingest their blood or fluids you won't get AIDS. You should look at the good things the Church has done. For example, It developed the calendar we use toady. You must not know the truth on the resurrection of the Catholic Church. It was built on blood and deceit. If you read the Bible you will see that the prophesy was The Assyrians along with other kingdoms, got together to overthrow Jerusalem, and keep it from habitating its original Hebrew people, leaving the land desolate and with no more sacrifices to Allah. (Dan 8:11-12). The Bible speaks about how the Messiah will come (Daniel 9:25-27), dwell for a certain time rebuild the streets and walls, even in the troublous times. You can find that verse fulfilled through Christ in the New Testament (John 2:19) when Christ prophesies His death and resurrection, and now Christ is our Temple. Not the Pope! Side: Catholic Church
