SHOULD COPORAL PUNISHMENT BE INTRODUCED?
COPORAL PUNISHMENT IS THE INFLICTION OF PAIN AS RETRIBUTION FOR AN OFFENCE. AN EXAMPLE OF THIS WOULD BE WHIPPING.
IN TODAY'S WORLD WHERE WE ARE SEEING AN INCREASE IN CRIMES OF VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ABUSE, SHOULD THOSE WHO BREAK THE LAW AND COMMIT SERIOUS CRIMES FACE COPORAL PUNISHMENT?

Sorry Rectitude, I have to disagree with you on this one. Mostly because you mentioned pedophiles and rapists. I believe people like them will NEVER change, there is something wrong with their consciences and I think they should be locked away for the rest of their lives. They will always be a danger to the people they targeted to begin with. Whipping them will not take away what is wrong with their minds and I know this from personal experience, unfortunately. IS THAT QUOTE, AS CLEVER AS IT SOUNDS, ENOUGH TO JUSTIFY NO COPORAL PUNISHMENT. I THINK THAT THE PAEDOPHILLES AND RAPISTS MAY LAUGH UP THEIR SLEEVES AT THAT QUOTE! ARE YOU SURE THAT COPORAL PUNISHMENT MAY NOT DETER SOMEONE FROM COMMITING A CRIME OR AND ARE YOU SURE THAT A PAEDOPHILE BEING BEATEN WILL MAKE HIM WANT TO BE A PAEDOPHILE EVEN MORE? THANK YOU FOR YOUR OPINION. Side: yes
I think S&M;freaks will actually enjoy it, and yeah I don't think Corporal punishment is very effective. If you break a man by beating him, he has a higher chance to be ferocious and attack you. You need to go for the mind. You need to show dominance and you need to show that what they are doing is wrong and why. You need to show the condemned exactly what they're condemned for. You need to make them feel sick. To truly break a man, you must control not just his actions, but his mind. The mentally ill criminals will laugh at anything really, by the by, so I don't think that's a very smart argument. Any man with a spine will rise up against an abuser, and any man with real courage will fight till their dying breath. Whether their intentions are good or not. Corporal Punishment won't effectively solve anything, and will probably just make inmates a hell of a lot more agitated than they already are. Side: No
