I don't think that a same gender classroom makes sense in today's society.

It has been accepted, at least by a majority of society, that people may be sexually attracted to people of the same gender. If the worry is distractions on that end, separating the genders would not solve any problems.

Second, by separating classes, sexism and the divide between the genders would be solidified among our youth. By keeping the genders separate, it puts an emphasis that the genders are not equal. This would hurt the goal of equality among our youth, and would undo a lot of the progress that has already been made.

We should keep mixed gender classrooms. I already get pretty mad when girls can't do the same thing as boys or boys can't do the same thing as girls. Everyone should be able to do what they want and not have to be controlled by girl only things or boys only. It really sucks to hear that someone would want such a thing to have us as the same gender. Plus, if we where in different classes then I'd feel bad for the teacher that has to deal with drama and the robustness of the boys. It's been proven that people are attracted be opposites. Oppastites attract. As much as you hate someone, you might just turn and like them.
