Sanders big fairy tale

Sanders just released his plan for healthcare. It calls for a middle class tax hike of 38 per family per month. His claim is that it will save the average family 5800 a year. Damn, where did we here this before. Oh right, Obama and his raise taxes on everybody to pay for his Obamacare that would result in a savings of 2500 a year for people. How did that work out?

So the question is. Will Sanders plan save the average family 5800.

Single payer will definitely save money. It's simple, it cuts out the middle man profit. It also makes preventive care for accessible which cuts down costs eventually.

The only question about a Canadian style health plan, is what will all the private insurance people do when they are out a job!?

Will we have to pay them welfare while they train for another career?

If single payer will save money, then why do we need a massive tax increase on the middle class? What you are arguing is the same as getting an email from Nigeria claiming you won a 20 million dollar lottery but you need to send a 1000 dollars for handling and processing. No need for a tax increase if everyone is going to come out ahead, now do we. Why don't the government just implement the single payer and then send everyone a check for 5800 who doesn't use any health care services for a year.

Because you have to pay to get the program started. Once we are paying for preventative care instead of reactionary care, it would save us money.

Non sequitur.

Why don't the government just implement the single payer and then send everyone a check for 5800 who doesn't use any health care services for a year.

Because that's clearly not how it works constitutionally, fiscally, practically, or logically.

Obamacare is not Bernies plan. It's a Frankenstein bi partisan piece of shit that does nothing to address the main problem with our health care system: the private insurance companies. These companies gouge the fuck out of prices at every turn and cause massive amounts of waste and unnecessary bureaucracy. Doctors spend way more time dealing wit insurance info and paperwork than they do helping patients. Single payer would cut them out entirely and you won't have to pay absurd premiums and deductibles anymore plus we can negotiate our treatment and drug prices to get those lower as well. It's definitely the way to go.

I really can't believe Bernie is this dishonest to try this scam again on the people. Very few thought Obamacare was going to save people 2500. Only the die hard radical left will believe anybody will save 5800 a year through his plan. Bernie knows it is a lie, the man has no shame. Truly pathetic.

Obamacare wasn't even implemented.

You don't know enough about Sanders to call him a liar, so you should stick to that which you are informed on.

It sounds like it would be likely that the same thing would happen to Sanders. What do you think is better? A half assed Obamacare, or a half assed single payer system.

If Sanders truly believed his crap about saving money for the middle class, then he would have not proposed a massive, permanent tax hike. He needs this massive tax increase to fund his government take over of health care. A more logical approach would have been to tell the American people that the middle class will never see a tax hike. Instead, the start up costs will be added to the deficit to begin with and then when the program saves money the deficit will come down.

But he did not take this approach because he knows their will never be any savings in the future. That is why he needs the every year taxes from the middle class to support this monstrosity.

Further, I don't know how much you pay attention to things in the news, but many health care providers are losing money right now on Obama care. Plus, the margins on profits are not that great, currently 3.3%. So this idea that the government can take over health care and realize massive savings is a complete joke. The government can't do anything more efficiently than the private sector. Further, all of those new government employees that will be needed to oversee this program will all be union members, making much more than the private sector pays its employees. Meaning, the labor costs will sky rocket under government control.

All of this will be a moot point starting in a few hours when Hillary wins Iowa and by the morning of March 2nd when she practically sweeps Super Tuesday. Bernie can fade away into obscurity and he can catch up on reading The Communist Manifesto, which I am sure he reads on a constant basis.

Here is an article on a big insurance companies profits.
