I'd say yes, students at a particular school, or even students in a general age range wherever they are, can have a school debate website if they want. And in fact most high school students (or their teachers) are capable enough they could just go ahead and make one and spread the word.

It is also true that you can just as easily debate on an adult-accessed public-accessed site like CreateDebate. I've seen many debates where in the title or description they say they're for a particular class. If I see that I leave it alone. If it's still open to the general public then I decide on a case by case basis.

My experience after seeing three debate websites ebb and flow and potentially die, however, is there probably isn't enough traffic for one particular group or school to keep one of these sites alive and humming. Making one just for your high school would probably not last for longer than one school year. Unless maybe a teacher owned it and perpetually was making new assignments which incorporated it as a tool from year to year.

that is what i come here to do, the problem with a debate group for kids is that the people in my grade, for the most part can not debate rationally and turn the debate forum into a group text.

i still think that there should be a debate group for kids who can actually debate using logic to push their ideas.
