Self interest vs Greed. What's the difference? IS there a difference?

Bill Gates is about as capitalist as you can get, and he gives back to the world. Oprah, same. Her friend Ellen, same. Being a capitalist is great! Being a greedy capitalist is NOT! Being a capitalist that cheats on his taxes, like Trump and HIS friends are the worst kind of capitalists. Be a nice little capitalist and we'll all love you! ;-) 1

Simply said, self interest is where you look out for yourself and your family WITHOUT harming anybody.. Greed is where you look out for yourself AT SOMEONE'S EXPENSE. By this criteria, what is the moral status of people who demand laws that will give them more things that other people pay for? Nahhh.. My DNA says I AM a Jew. Your DNA tells you you're from poland. It's SOCIETY that told you you're a Jew because you are a special type of white person who's ancestors decided to follow the religion of the Hebrew Israelites, who no longer exist as an ethnic group. I've shown you that actual result done by actual scientists.. Science didn't name your ethnic group Jews, The actual Jews you are descended from who practiced Judaism named it Jews. By the way.. We agree, of course, that DNA cannot test for religion. Then shut up. It tests for ETHNICITY/RACE.. Then why do you call yourself a Jew just because your ancestors unscientifically named their ethnic group after the RELIGION they converted to. RACIALLY you are mostly POLISH and the actual HEBREWS would have considered the vast majority of your ancestry to be INFIDELS and SAVAGES. Why are you afraid to admit that Jews are a race?? Under capitalism, you work for an employer who buys lots of nice things with the profit from your hard labour. Under Communism, you work for yourself and you buy lots of nice things with the profit from your hard labour. Hence, bite me Adolf. I bet you would believe the gunman who says “I’m not going to hurt you” as he cocks the hammer. The reason people get away with saying Communism has never been tried is because it’s supposed aims are never achieved. This is attributed to non-communist methods. The truth is that the goals are Utopian pipe dreams that are promised by the evil and believed by the naive and ignorant. It really depends on how you define those terms how they practically play out in the world. I can be greedy and not like sharing my wealth or giving things out for free. Yet I can still benefit society by having a price on my activities. If its beneficial, people will pay for it. If it's not I wouldn't have any customers. I see what you're doing now, You're trying to say that since there is a difference between self interest and greed capitalism is just this benign thing that never exploits people, rewards the greedy for sociopathic behaviour, or impedes human development because it is UNSCIENTIFIC and based only on what is PROFITABLE rather than what is SUSTAINABLE or LOGICAL or ETHICAL or PRODUCTIVE. |
