Hello k:

Nahhh... Screw the debt.. I want 'em to fix the potholes in my street. I want 'em to repair the failing bridges I drive my family on.. I want MODERN airports, and a 21st Century power grid. I want trains that go 120 MPH..

These things cost REAL money..

Hello again,

Couple things.. There's debt caused by government GIVING the store away, and there's debt caused by INVESTMENT. One is good.. The other is bad..

If we're gonna do deficit spending, like the right wing Trumpian fiscally UNCONSERVATIVE congress, is ABOUT to do, I'd RATHER they spend the money where ALL Americans get a return on investment, instead of the very rich..

Raise or lower taxes on who? The overwhelming burden is now on the working class. When rich paid their fair share of taxes the economy boomed.

I wonder what all the fools will say when our debt finally causes a financial collapse in this nation.

Politicians would love to have millions more of low end voters drinking the political correct coolaide and rewarding them for bankrupting our nation.

Newsflash, these corrupt politicians will keep overspending our money no matter how much we give them.

Do you honestly think that any increased taxes wold be ear marked to lower the debt? NO....NEVER!!!!!!!! It would be used to fund collapsing Government programs to keep buying votes.

I've got a bridge to sell you if you are so mind numbingly stupid to actually want to give them more of our money. They have proven decade after decade that with every tax increase, THEY NEVER PUT THE MONEY TOWARDS OUR NATIONAL DEBT.

YOU FOOLS!

I hope you one day use the same obvious common sense truth concerning this debt spending, and apply it to your support for killing viable unborn special needs babies for merely being different.

I am starting to believe it s a total waste of time trying to get the Godless to understand humanity. Without God, you truly are blind as the Bible says.

I thought there was hope to get the Godless to at least understand the inhumanity of late term abortions of viable babies for any reason, but you prove it is almost impossible.

Without God, there is no wisdom or moral foundation with which to discern right from wrong.

You can't lower the debt until you wipe out the annual deficit, which right now we are looking at 600 billion for next year. Lowering the debt will never happen.

Yeah. Congresspeople always talk about lowering the deficit as if it is some important accomplishment worthy of reelection. That they are proud of themselves for being marginally less profligate this year than last year is a clear indication that they are unsuited for the offices they hold.

Anywhere else but government the word budget refers to a tool to ensure one's expenses are less than one's income.

In congress, the budget is basically just a letter to Santa Clause.

Dear Santa,

This year we were not naughty. We were nice!

We only lied to get elected, and we only spent 3/4 of our workdays trying to get people to donate to our campaign funds. Because we are so honest, we only did special favors for all the people and companies who gave us money to help us get elected.

For Christmas, we want Legos, and a dolly, and a pony, and an aircraft carrier, and funding for scientific studies of shrimp on treadmills, and ineffective programs to bail out individuals and corporations from the consequences of their own decisions, and subsidies for industries that rape American consumers, and . . . .

No. I think we should just sell all the red states to whomever can wipe our debt down to zero. Instead of the Louisiana Purchase we can call it the Louisiana Purchase Return. (I just hope we kept the receipt).

Judging by the last electoral map, wouldn't it be smarter to sell the blue ones? We'd keep a lot more land...

Hell, we'd keep almost all of the U.S.

If California dropped into the ocean, most of the country wouldn't notice.

That's like saying Russia should keep Siberia and dump the rest.

Side: Lower

No. They should spend less than they take in.

My brilliance amazes even me....
