Should Batman use guns?
My understanding is that Batman has a strict no guns policy because his parents were shot. He would surely be more effective with them, though for the most part he does fine without them, and any criminals he shoots would die instead of going to jail or Arkham. Should he use guns?

Batman originally did use guns and kill people. But then the writers changed him into a more moralistic vigilante by deciding that he had a no-kill policy. Some comic book historians say that this is one of the reasons he still exists today. By making him stand apart from other heroes he was able to survive. If you look at other comic heroes of the time, they also were dark, used guns, killed people, and were vigilantes. The reason most don't exist anymore is because they were all the same. Side: No

My personal feeling is no. He's as awesome as he is because he doesn't need guns. Though if you want to read something about that, check out Flashpoint Batman. It's an altered reality where instead of Thomas getting shot and Bruce becoming batman it's just the opposite, and he shoots people. Side: No
Batman has more of a reason than the fact that it's not his style, or it goes against his moral code. In case you didn't know (and if you don't know this, why are you even debating about this?) a gun killed his parents, and it's more than the fact that it goes against his moral code that he doesn't use them. Also, in the movie Flashpoint (haven't read the comic book....yet.) Thomas Wayne is Batman, uses guns, and is a total douche. Plus, and I quote (not perfectly), "How long do you think Gotham would tolerate us if we decided to kill?" Side: No
