CreateDebate is a social debate community built around ideas, discussion and democracy.
If this is your first time checking out a debate, here are some quick tips to help get you started:
Arguments with the highest score are displayed first.
Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.
Yes, you can change your vote.
Debate scores, side scores and tag scores are automatically calculated by an algorithm that primarily takes argument scores into account.
All scores are updated in real-time.
To learn more about the CreateDebate scoring system, check out the FAQ.
When you are ready to voice your opinion, use the Add Argument button to create an argument.
If you would like to address an existing argument, use the Support and Dispute link within that argument to create a new reply.
Yes definately, I downloaded it today and it is without a doubt faster than my old internet explorer. Down with firefox I have never liked Mozilla FF and I never will. Chrome does seem to have an edge over IE. So I suggest GC!
Yeah, fire fox is just so over rated. I like google chrome because it's simple and doesn't have a bunch of crap I'm never going to use. And it's so easy to get to all of your favorite sites quickly. Like Create Debate for example.
Google Chrome is best if you wanted to browse the internet faster. So if you are asking what would be the best between chrome and IE I'll go for chrome. But I love using Firefox more its more efficient and crashes less. I think the new Firefox 3.0.7 will be out in the market very soon and I can't wait to finally try it.
Yes, do it, NOW. Internet Explorer is absolutely an awful browser. It's the only browser that has given me a thousand and one internet problems. I haven't had any problems with Chrome yet, nor with Mozilla, as they're the main two I use. Safari is pretty decent too, but is kind've slow most of the time.
I'm serious about the speed thing on my computer, though. I use Chrome and it's great, fast, even with low connection quality, and when I need to use Internet Explorer, like to access the Microsoft website or other specific sites, it takes forever!!!
Actually, my computer is getting a little slow, I have the highest speed from the local cable company, I clean the cache regularly, all the maintenance, defrag and everything, and I have pretty good spy ware and anti virus, I think about the best you can get.
What are the differences between chrome and explorer outside of the superficial looks? Do programs run the same on them? Is Chrome just the next Explorer, or is it totally different? I may give it another try.
I really don't know the specs, but it really does run much faster than Internet Explorer.
I just conducted my own little test to give you some numbers:
When connecting from the homepage to www.createdebate.com, with a connection of 4/5 bars, these are the results.
Google Chrome: 6.82 seconds.
Internet Explorer: 16.78 seconds.
My computer isn't the fastest, and the internet connection and service isn't the best, but the numbers don't lie. That's ten seconds of my life each time I want to log on to this site. That adds up.
The download function is better on Chrome than on IE, as it's just a small bar at the bottom that keeps track of your downloads. You can also keep track of/delete the history of all of your downloads.
The bookmark function is simple & quick; one click, and it shows up on your homepage.
But, I don't need to go over Google's Chrome website, I'll just give you the link at the bottom.
But, I just love Google and all of the high-quality free stuff they give out. Sketchup, anybody? Pretty good 3D design for free??? It really provides me with many tools to learn from, without spending thousands.
i would not download it, apparently (open to correction) under its terms and conditions when using it what ever you upload/download to/from the internet is owned by google (once again open to correction) so if u upload a game or any thing that might make cash google owns it, (just what i have been told by a friend and i cba to read all the terms and conditions just to find out)
