Should Jody Arias be sentenced to Life in Prison or Death?
Now that the trial is over and the penalty phase is ready to commence, the question now going to the jury is Should Jody Arias be sentenced to Life in Prison or Death!
Based on the limited information I have gleaned from television news sources, I think I would like to use the words of Hanover Fiste from the 1981 movie Heavy Metal. It is a pretty cool animated full length movie broken into featurettes with an awesome soundtrack…He is changed to She for purposes of this situation:
“She's nothing but a low-down, double-dealing, backstabbing, larcenous perverted worm! Hanging's too good for her. Burning's too good for her! She should be torn into little bitsy pieces and buried alive!”
There are worse things than death and being stuck in prison and denied all the civil liberties associated with a free life is one of them. So I think if you really wanted to punish someone and make them suffer, then thrown them in jail. American is supposed to be a humane and moral society. There's nothing humane or moral about executing people UNLESS there are reasonable ground to conclude that someone cannot be safely contained in a prison.
I think that several decades of group anal sex in showers will be sufficient ...at the end he will be most likely stabbed to death by first inmate with fork anyway :D
Let her be sentenced to a lifetime in jail...why give her what she wants? This is what I think, but it would be easier to figure out what was best if we knew why she killed someone anyways.

Andy you're being quite the fucking bitch with that comment. Her crime is hardly the worst in the world. We don't know exactly what drove her to kill him.
Just to clarify...I picked a side to make a point. Frankly, she is guilty of killing him. The motive really doesn't matter. Should the US still have the death penalty? I don't know, but I will say that she looked like she saw a ghost when they read the verdict! She was shocked...I think she thought they were going to give her a little time, she would get out by her 40th birthday and go on with her life. Ain't gonna happen now!
Hey man...take a look at these pics...she is a really evil woman. I can believe what she did to him! And, yes you are correct we don't know what drove her to stab him multiple times, cut his throat from ear to ear and shoot him in the head. Maybe it was a jealous rage...but who cares she still murdered him in cold blood in the shower!
So you think abortion is okay, but killing an evil bitch is not? By the way, at what point do you think it should be illegal to get an abortion? 5 months, because the little guy can at that point feel pain?
The only time that it is okay to kill is if that person's life endangers someone's life or civil liberties. That includes elective abortions. I got saved so I am prolife now.
Great question. When I first Created the debate, I was disgusted by her actions. I was not aware she was interested in dying to relieve her from a life of imprisonment. But, she could be using a sick reverse psychology. If she publicly states she would rather die than get life in prison, she may just sway people to keep her alive to "suffer" for the rest of her life. It also stands to reason she doesn't really care! I am not sure...it doesn't really matter to me...but I thought it would be a good controversial topic.
She should get the death penalty, she even said that she wanted to die, which is really reverse psychology, she doesn't want to die, she thinks if she says she wants to that we would keep her alive to make it worse, but that's really not the case. Besides, what she did was horrible, worthy of death.
In this link she says she'd rather die than live, she has also been placed on suicide watch.
She claims it was self defense yet the image Andy provided shows something a bit more horrific than that. If it was self defense, yet as gruesome as shown, it shows she has a darker side that may show itself again if she's put in a similar situation.
If it was just a horrible murder then it would be just and fair to have her life ended for ending his life.
That's why I'm an anarchist. It's not that I don't want the people punished by a police force, it's that I want the person to be able to do what they have to do before the police can get there and then explain it to them.
People like Jody, who do gruesome crimes aren't given a fair chance in court to explain themselves and when they do, it's never treated as even a possible truth.
I'm not sure I agree with your argument but even if you did there is a real problem in determining who can be rehabilitated and who can't. Statistically speaking though a murderer has a very low recividivism rate compared to most other violent offenders.
She killed her boyfriend...right after they broke up. Stabbed him 20 some times, slit his throat ear to ear and then shot him. There are some pics in one of my posts on the other side but be warned, they are gruesome!
I think you have the order wrong. Didn't she shoot him, then stab him a bunch of times for no reason? I only mention it because if the shooting came later the stabbings could be self defense wounds she inflicted.
If life in prison means a slow, boring death prolonged for a whole life time, I think I would pick the more human option.
That being said 'tit-for-tat with forgiveness' is statistically the most optimal survival strategy in groups of primates; it might just be good idea to give her a second chance.
Also why the fuck do people care so much about one death? Lots of people are killed just as pointlessly every day, but that's outside the States so I guess that's why it's different.

Right.... Tell me and be honest. Say some evil person killed everyone you love for 5,000 dollars, will you still push for life? I am sure most people would want that person DEAD.
