Should Lance Armstrong be stripped of his seven Tour de France titles?

If he cheated, he's the biggest asshat to play the cancer pity me card. He should and will be stripped of his integrity and awards provided.

Side: YES

YES HE WAS THE BIGGEST CHEATER EVER BLAH BLAH BLAH

Alright, shut the fuck up and listen! Lance Armstrong probably doped up like the rest of most athleats (face it, most of your sports heros have doped up a few times) however, the only reason he gave up on proving his innocence is because he got tired of fighting a battle, and let me remind you there is NO evidence that he has ever doped, its just a bunch of people who are angry.

So if you think he should be stripped of his titles well then this is you: Some fat jerkoff who has never achieved anything in their life and now has to disqualify the achievements of others to make yourself seem slightly less worthless (weather he doped up or not, he still worked alot harder than you)

Sorry for getting so pissed, but I'm tired of all the stupid claims about these issues.

of course he should and has! he cheated plain and simple! what kind of message does that send to children that he cheated but keeps his titles! did you know 17 of the 33 tour de france wins (1980 onwards) are tainted by blood doping? it is wrong! Our society cannot support cheats wether they overcame cancer and do charity work or not!!

While competing in every single event, Armstrong was tested, and je passed every time.

yes no doubt about it and the good thing is Tour De Harrogate 2014

Why must acheater be the champion? He should get a reward for being the best doper in sports history. AEven though he had cancer he only won because of drugs.

Side: YES

these people who cheat dont understand that they create a bad impression on younger generation by doping etc ...these activities creates a bad impact on the society and it also lowers their self respect....

He was very resilient to survive cancer. It is already a major setback; now they strip him of his title. It will be a blow. Besides, nobody could prove he had used drugs

Good explanation

The minimum length for an argument is 50 characters. The purpose of this restriction is to cut down on the amount of dumb jokes, so we can keep the quality of debate and discourse as high as possible.

Lance Armstrong had testicular cancer, but it didn't stop the motivation of this cyclist. No, even through the grueling struggles of battling cancer, he continued to fight, so that he would be able to compete once again, and he did. He won 7 consecutive Tour de Frances and one bronze medal in 2000 Olympics.

HOWEVER, when the United States Anti-Doping Agency with all its superior knowledge and strength has broken the spirit of this man battling him for over 13 years.

"I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in winning my seven Tours since 1999," he said. "The toll this has taken on my family and my work for our foundation and on me leads me to where I am today -- finished with this nonsense."

This is the CLEAR EXAMPLE of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT hating to see the success of one man, and it will stop at nothing to destroy his reputation and dignity.

So, that' s your Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free card? Ball cancer? Really?

Lance knew what he was doing and employed some smart people to help him try to get away with it. I can respect a man following his passions and overcoming the odds.

And all of those years we thought he was something amazing. It turns out he wasn't. He was a juice pig. And it's disgusting.

I'm a cyclist ---not any where near his level of course--- but I loved Lance. He was one of my personal heroes, my Michael Jordan. Now, he just went and threw everything out the window. It's all bull shit. He doesn't anything any more. We'd all be that good if got the right juice. Is that what it's come to? WHo can get the right juice? Fuck him! Strip the medals.

Ball cancer was never implied as a get out of jail free card. When the USADA releases the fake evidence concerning the case, we will see how much of a witch hunt it was.

Armstrong was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles, despite the fact that he passed every test given to him at that time.

I guess not. I think it sucks that our society goes on witch hunts for things that are rumor and speculation. If he passed all of the doping tests at the time, let him keep everything.

Side: NO

As others have said already if he passed the doping tests at the time he should be allowed to keep them, if he did'nt pass at the time he should have been stripped of the titles at the time and not allowed to compete as this did'nt happen he should be allowed to keep them

Side: NO

Lance Armstrong doesn't lose many Tour de France titles, but when he does..., he loses ALL of them ;)

no!!he is retired now and if he had doped then why cant they(UCI/USADA)caught him earlier when he was in the competion???!!!

The Armstrongs aren't doing too well...

Yes, it is a sad week for Armstrongs. What's even worse is that Neil Armstrong's death was deemed less important than Snooki's baby being born by Yahoo...pretty sick.

Given the first man on the moon was deemed less important than some future hasbeen, who probably no one will remember.. Yeah i've got to agree with you there. People will always remember Armstrong.
