Should Progressive beliefs be classified as mental illness?

You can't classify progressive as mentally ill, there is not enough doctors and hospitals to provide care for them. The best you can hope for is to let them be inmates of society instead of inmates of a mental institution, and hope that the inmates do not completely take over and control everything and everybody. 1

You got me there, there would definitely not be enough hospitals or pyscologists. I jokingly created this debate because of absolute fools who are saying religious peope have mental illness. I don't truly believe Progressives have mental illness, I believe they are very insecure people who can not stnd others tlking about morals and personal responsibility. They have a self love for themselves and lack the wisdom and discernment of important issues affecting our families. Their priorities focus on things as ludicrous as small numbers of dysfunctional transgender boys who think they are girls, and forcing every public school in our nation to allow them in our daughter's bathrooms. These fools worry bout those types of things while fightng to keep legal the killng of viables babies for any reason. THEIR PRIORITIES ARE ALL SREWED UP! You can't make this stuff up. You and i know that God said men would become like fools when they reject God and we are seeing this in our lifetimes. They're just haters. If they could, they would be assisting and cheering persecution of Christians. Only the strong Judaeo-Christian influence on Western Civ has slowed the persecution of Christians in the western Hemisphere, but things are changing fast and these haters are feeling more powerful so they feel emboldened to act in ways which only a few decades ago were extremely abnormal in society and would have gotten them thrown in jail. I think Carouk or Lukin or Finmen or whoever is Catholic. Sometimes I see him saying things like he is actually, to some degree, a practicing conservative Catholic. Sometimes he makes some pretty good comments, but never in favor or being saved through the gospel. I think you bother him because he knows you claim to be saved, and he cannot make that claim himself so he feels better if he can push your buttons and keep you in conflict with him. Just ignore him and he'll give up, he used to do the same thing to me for a while, stopped quickly when he realized I could care less if he did it or not. Even if he bothers you, act like he does not, don't mention it except to thank him for publishing your message......other than that, ignore him...he's a loser if he's not forgiven and on His way to Heaven and Catholicism says it is forbidden for them to believe they are forgiven. I saw all this stuff being predicted...not prophsied, just predicted based on the trends.....back in the early 80's when AIDS was first recognized and called "GRID" (Gay Related Immuno Deficiency). Persecution against Christians has been heating up a lot in the past ten years, especially under Obama, hopefully Trump will slow the tide a bit. A Progressive is just a person advocating or implementing social reform or new, liberal ideas. Having liberal ideas just means to be open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values. I don´t see how this can be considered a mental illness anymore than conservatism which is someone who is holding political views that favor free enterprise, private ownership, and socially conservative ideas. Neither one is necessarily bad and both have done good things. Progressives in the past were people who fought for racial equality or the end of slavery. The early church itself was progressive, it implemented new ideas into the Roman empire. Some progressives do support things I am personally against like abortion or gay marriage but they have a right to their beliefs just like us. We need to be respectful to other people and not judge them by Christian standards because they are not Christians. Jesus came to help the downtrodden, the broken. He came to help the Romans and the Greeks who worshiped other gods. He did not seek to put them down or start a fight with them. Please can we not as Christians stay civil when talking to those who do not believe and show them the love and mercy of Jesus? 1

You are missing the entire point. I completely agree that Christians should and MOST TIMES do stay civil towards others who do not believe or are Gay etc. We fight back when these Progressives and activist Gays try to force Churches to bow to the Left's beliefs instead of respecting our religious beliefs. They have sued Churches to force them to allow Gay Sunday school teachers and have tried to forced Pastors and Preists to marry Homosexuals. This is why we speak out! HUGE DIFFERENCE FROM WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. That has nothing to do with my debate. I wrote this debate to show how judgemental Progressives are when some are saying that Christians have a mental illness because of their beliefs. I don't believe Progressives have mental illness. I was saying how ludicrous their claims of such against Christians. I disagree with you when you say neither side is necessarily bad. Killing late term viable babies up to birth for any reason is as bad as it gets and the Democrat Party(home to Progressives) support this inhumanity. Any person who votes for these radical pro abortion politicians support this inhumanity. |
