I vote no homework just because I myself rarely do my homework unless we get time in class to finish it. By my grades you can tell that i do worse in classes that I have to take work home in. I'm the type of person that either forgets the teachings when I take it home or the type of person thats just to easily distracted and lazy to do it. The only way I will actually completely do my homework is if I actually like the lesson. Like if we had more poetry work then I'd probably do it...or if we could read a decent not boring book. =)

No, students should not receive homework. First, we all hate getting homework. For example, we always receive homework every day and that's why we hate it. Second, we get tired of getting homework. For example, we never get to rest because we're tired.. no sleep! Third, it's a waste of time. For example, we can't get to play when we get home.. and we need that time. We should not get homework!

Homework causes stress to kids and makes kids lose interest in learning.

Optional graded practice, preferably on the computer with immediate feedback has greater benefits than homework.

It results in greater proficiency if the student has a grasp of when they need to do them, greater freedom, etc

Basing a students grades on projects, then tests, then homework best reflect a students knowledge.

Homework has numerous problems:

such as cheating, wasting time, being tedious, not being a very natural way to learn nor reflecting most modern working environments etc.

Tests posses some of the same problems as homework, and some benefits and additional error that are just as obvious as the ones for homework so I'll spare you a list, unless you wish for me to produce one.

Projects are a much more natural way of learning for many students, better reflect modern working environments, produce something useful, puts abstract theories into concrete fact, etc

Home work should be replaced with optional practice problems with a quick feedback.

If the school day is increased significantly, then homework can be discontinued.

there should not be homework because it can cause a lot of problems like if your teacher says you have homework and then you dont have homework for a week, your parents will rage. and it also causes kids not going to have free time like play outside or do after school stuff.

If schools give out homework and the student doesn't know how to do the problem or thing they could be practicing the problem wrong and fail that class

If there is going to home work at least make a twenty minute polisy.
