Students should wear uniforms because they help with the balance of equality. If everyone is wearing the same thing, than no one can make fun of what anybody else is wearing. It also assures the teachers and the rest of the administrators that nobody will walk around school showcasing gang affiliated clothes or inappropriate clothing. School uniforms show the character of the school and sometimes represent the grade level that students are in. Most schools, like private and elementary schools, require uniforms to keep the kids safe and out of harms way. School uniforms are expensive enough on their own, and kids always find ways to tease and separate the cool from the not. Whether it's the brand of shoes or schoolbag or coat or the frequency of a haircut or the car your parents drive you in. Kids always find a way to create cliques. I've experienced a uniformed school and an un-uniformed school and I must say I much preferred the latter. Side: Anti-Uniforms

Students should not have to wear uniforms because they restrict the students to restrain their character. Most people's character is shown through the clothing they wear. Uniforms are boring and really bland. Uniforms are a pain cause you have to spend a lot of money on them, some families don't have that kind of money for all of that.
