ok...so the argument was "should tanning beds be outlawed?". I think you have strayed but i will respond.

You argument pretty much says that if i cant afford a yacht and my neighbor has one, and it is what i love, the tax payers should supply me one also.

I do not think that poor people should die from cancer, i think as a society we should take care of those who cannot afford expensive treatments.

But i dont know about where you live, but where i live, there are MANY who CAN afford their own healthcare, but choose to use their money for other things. Abusers of the system have created angst and anger over who should and who should not be provided free care. When i stand in line behind the lady paying for her groceries with food stamps, and she is talking on her cell phone that is better than mine, and driving away in the car better than mine, then i have a problem saying i will pay MORE in taxes to cover her healthcare and foodstamps. I can honestly named people i know and have witnessed, having children but blantantly saying they arent getting married because if they dont they get "free healthcare" and "free formula, diapers and aid", even though they CAN afford insurance, or the baby daddy CAN afford to pay for formula, diapers and daycare, they choose to abuse the system.

If it is equality you strive for, then you are sorely misguided, the only equality that can be acheived by government is poverty, and that is a historical fact.

But back to the issue, you say that tanning beds SHOULD be outlawed, yet you in the same argument say that people should be able to do what they love even if they cant afford it, but you dont want to pay when they abuse it...you cant have it all ways.
